I'm a huge fan and on his Facebook page so you can stalk me if you wanted (not suggesting you would - just crossreferencing to the grief poor BBW's been getting on that other thread ). His dad did play for celtic - I've seen him (GSH not his dad) play a few times can be 'erratic'...which is a bit ironic given 'The Bottle' "Angel Dust" etc
'home is where the hatred is' is an all time favourite, as is 'pieces of a man'.....i heard he's (ironically) battling addiction to hard drugs now, was this mentioned on newsnight? (esther phillips, who quite famously covered 'home is....' also died young at the hands of heroin).

Couldn't agree more, see my post November 17 on this thread. Apparently GSH has anew album out, a guy I know who writes for a couple of music mags has received a review copy of it and reckons it's pretty damn good.

    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
    • The accompaniment to our "Christmas Pudding" aka Nothing-Whatever-Like-A- Christmas-Pudding last year  at The Cherry Tree was "brandy butter ice-cream." If it had ever been near any brandy, the brandy must have been waved in its direction from a very great distance. Same with butter. The ice cream tasted like bog standard "vanilla" from a catering tub. At least it did bear some resemblance to ice cream. Whereas the "Christmas Pudding" bore no resemblance whatever to any Christmas Pudding I have ever seen or tasted in my many  decades of seeing and tasting Christmas Puddings. Oh, and Cinzano Bianco. Bleurgh. My sister used to drink that. 🤢
