giggirl
The best thing about the episode I saw is that the Spooks HQ (exterior) is the Masonic building in Covent Garden and my office backs on to it. It's an amazing place - I went in there once during an open weekend.MM - Say No to 0870 is indeed a wonderful thing. Interestingly enough, a lot of the landline numbers provided are submitted by Whistleblowers from the companies. I like the idea of that. Mockney - pure Dad's Army.Px Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8708-spooks/page/3/#findComment-368982 Share on other sites
david_carnell
Or the algae-based nerve agent that had to be handled by men dressed in full BCN suits but those standing two feet away in jeans and biker jackets are impervious. Neato.Still marvellous though. And just who is Lucas "John" North??? RosieH
David, NO! You just don't get it. Lucas and the FSB guy are so hard that they don't need the suits. No algae's bringing down Lucas John North. Although I'd wrestle him to the ground if someone put a gun to my head. Peckhamgatecrasher
Who cares who Lucas is? He's always Guy of Gisbon in my dreams! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8708-spooks/page/3/#findComment-368992 Share on other sites
waynetta
Every time I look at the title of this thread I think it's a new rant started by Tarot about immigration or something. mockney piers
So MI5 software actually shows you the password as you're entering it does it when asterisking it is about as bog standard a first tier of security defence as exists. And they're really going to believe that man with high clearance logs on with his own name and transfers funds into his own bank account?Oh god, I know i know, I'm picking holes in Spooks...repeat after me 'don't point out plot holes in spooks, it's pointless' again....and noone in the office is even batting an eyelid at Cold hearted Harry's little pep talks and arms on shoulders 'is wittle wuth ok, does wuthy want a hug?' dita-on-tees
Oh I had a Spooks fest at the weekend and watched all 3 on the iplayer. Its very Mi5 by Marks and Spencers. I rather like that. Do you think anyone in 24 would have stopped to consider the internal gifts and entertainment policy when presented with some vodka from the Russians, noooooooooo. As for Lucas North will always be John Thorton, the pent up passionate Northern mill owner from North and South. He was also a fireman in something. Actually whatever role he plays he has consistantly deliver quality lust to my loins and for that, I thank him. mightyroar
the bomb defusing was particularly good last night.I thought it was a matter of disconnecting the correct wire, agonising over red or blue for 2 minutes, then going with red with 2 seconds to spare, but times have changed. Now you need to melt some stuff, and watch out for the red flashing light.I wonder how long before Spooks are able to access the amazingly lifelike masks they used in Face Off and MI films?Do you think someone from the CIA could come over and give them a training course on it? Fear 'n boozin
http://www.flickr.com/photos/batholomew/5137564291/The suggestion being they are after lucas/john.....I'm starting to wonder how this fits in. As an aside, I;m wondering why I have to watch this or the apprentice on my computer rather than through virgin, where it seems to take a few days before iplayer admits there's an episode to watch. Not sure what find more annoying, that this maybe the last spooks series, that lucas seems to be called john, or that I appear to be spanking ?50 a month on a tv service that's not really offering anything.... david_carnell
And just what/who is "Albany"?And how did Ruth's hands heal so fast last night? One minute she was melting them on an iron, the next minute in hospital she doesn't even have a plaster on and is heading back to work. God, she's tough.
