Lee and his team were fast, efficient and provided a good service in repairing a heated towel rail. Lee responded to my initial query within a few hours and arrived on time to fix the problem.

I would definitely use Lee again and highly recommend. Thanks Lee

Another recommendation for Lee. After completely refurbishing my bathroom earlier in the year I hired Lee to replace a faulty boiler

As before the service was impeccable.

He communicates well, completed the task in timely fashion and without fuss.

He also provided me with an extended warranty.

I wouldn't hesitate to use him again

5 stars

We have had lee over a couple of times now to put radiators back on after some damp work and also to take a look at a leaky pipe and crack under the bath. Great work both times, Lee is friendly and nice to have around and good at communicating and keeping in touch to check up on the work. Thanks Lee.

Very happy to also recommend Lee Garvey. We had a leaking shower and couldn't remove the tap to access the cartridge. He gave us great and clear advice when he first visited to see the problem, and picked up the right part (having helped us find it) from SIDS in Brockley, on the way around to fix the shower. Work was done quickly and everything is sorted. Def recommended and we'll call him again, when needed! Many thanks

We actually went with someone else for our new boiler fit but I wanted to add that we would have used Lee had we not already used the other guy. He seemed very competent and knowledgeable, friendly and his prices were good. Felt a shame not to give him the work tbh but I feel like he would have done a good job.

Lee from Garvey Plumbing came round this afternoon to fix our underfloor heating after we had called him this morning having waited for months for another plumber to fix it. It turned out to be a very simple job (which the other plumber had not spotted!!) and we now have fully functioning heating and warm feet. The price was reasonable and we would recommend him.

We used Lee from Garvey plumbing and can't recommend him highly enough, He spotted what the problem was straight away order the part needed and arranged for a time at our convenience to come back and install it. The price was reasonable too.

We had a small plumbing issue, checked out this forum to find someone and were overwhelmed with all the positive reviews for Lee Garvey, we had to try him. He was efficient, all communication was clear and timely and the job was done well. Pretty much all you could ask for. Definitely a number to keep hold of: 07881 277385

I called Lee just before Christmas following recommendations on this forum and he came the next day (despite him being very busy on the run-up to Christmas). He installed a new integrated dishwasher and sorted out the heating, (also giving great advice about how to maximise the heating to the radiators). He assessed what still needed to be done in the new year (jobs that were less urgent and could wait) so that he could be prepared when he returns. He was friendly, reliable and explained everything he was doing in a really helpful way. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him and we will definitely be getting him back shortly to do some other jobs.

After discovering an issue with my radiators I called Lee and his team for help.with Christmas looming and friends staying over I simply could not go without heat. Lee & Simon managed to not only reinstate my heating but fixed a long standing issue with my toilet without charge. I have now agreed a price to replace my ancient boiler and I'm delighted to recommend the services of Garvey plumbing.thanks guys
Likewise! I called him after coming home late one evening to no heating or running hot water. He was at my flat by noon the following day (New Year's Eve, nonetheless!) and didn't even say anything about having to crawl into my godawful loft to take a look at the boiler. Friendly, reliable and super speedy - would really recommend him.

    • I had a peek when a door was opened the other day. I saw a large open basement (no floor at shop level) and stairs to 1st floor. The basement appeared to be across both buildings but it was the quickest of looks so I may be wrong. It may also be that the ground floor over the basement has not yet been put in place.
    • Yes, that compromise is in not extending the event to two weekends, and keeping it to the one currently.  Yes, I am getting that too, but just go anyway. I intend to.  I will talk to FOPR, and see if there is any interest for a petition from those going to the consultation tm. We just need some volunteers to get together and do the leg work. I've done political party canvassing before, and so can organise a ward by ward schedule. I think it's fair to say that any goodwill some of us had towards working with Gala has gone with this proposed expansion. They are not the same people that started the event with We Are the Fair. At least one of those people actually lived next to the park. The people running things now have no connection to the park or local area and quite frankly are taking the p*** now. Might be worth officially demanding to know where the money the council gets from the festival is actually spent as well.

    • Sadly we need young people from developing countries with higher birth rates to do the work that Brits wont do, including many jobs in health and social care.  How you square this with minimum wages to get work visas I don't know.  A different subject for another thread.   Shortage of skilled workers is another topic.  We could return to the fact that young people from Europe no longer come to the UK for a limited time, to do both skilled and unskilled jobs, but that would bring us back to Brexit and the crazy decision we made as a nation. Some nice analysis by Sky News, tend not to use them as a rule but was surprised by the quality of this piece: https://news.sky.com/story/how-many-illegal-migrants-are-in-britain-the-key-numbers-driving-the-immigration-debate-13428405
