37 is really dodgy for timetables, or was - a few weeks ago I was travelling on it a lot and was waiting for about 25min and 3 would turn up consecutively. Seemed very strange and thought the drivers were up to something as was happening all the time....not sure what though!

You've heard the anecdote, now read the book! http://www.robeastaway.com/book_buses.html

I can help you out here, the three drivers in question were forming a Thin Lizzy tribute group and were rehearsing over their radios. That's the original three piece Lizzy of course. Purists these lads are.

TFL Lizzy they're styling themselves.

my o/h actually discovered a sneaky new way to CJ - check it out on the nationalrail.co.ku site, but basically you get the train from ED to either streatham common or tulse hill, then change platforms and get a train back towards central london and jump off at CJ. Takes 32 mins or sthg v similar and although it costs ?1 more than the bus it is ten times more reliable!
If you're using the Wandsworth Road route, OTOH, don't rely on the NatRail site. It allows too much leeway to change trains at Peckham Rye, when the train in fact leaves from the adjoining platform. You can get the 14 or 44 from ED and be on the 20 or 50 to Wandsworth Road (via Denmark Hill, as above) if the trains are on schedule. Similarly for the return journey; though then there's usually just one minute for the change if both trains are on time.

    • I haven't had any problems, except when the online  appointment system is full, but I have found if something is urgent they can fit you in if you phone. I think they probably keep a few spaces free for urgent last minute appointments, but I'm just guessing  I've found it quite convenient being able to email questions which previously I would have had to ask at an actual appointment, and I've always had a speedy reply. You can send photos as well. I don't know about forms and letters. That sounds bad. Have the admin staff changed recently?

    • The yoghurt was very sharp (not sure of right word) and  if memory serves quite runny. Nothing like the stuff sold now. There was pink as well. Strawberry? That must have had sugar in? Too new fangled for us, but my Auntie Grace down the road used to get it 😂 Well, you had to keep up to date. Sorry, couldn't resist.
