Much discussion has taken place in the Belle-Carnell household. Already I have been forced to rehome my fairy (soon to be resident at the Mike P's abode) but today my coloured fairy lights were also deemed tacky!

Well!

So my question dear forumites is - how do you dress yours? And let's have some pictures too!

silver twigs over the fireplace with small glass baubles, etc...

We have a white tree from M&S, it was free, we came home and found it in our hall in a box addressed to the GMTV studios a few years ago, how the postman got our address in underhill road mixed up with them i have never fathomed out, anyway we rang the GMTV offices and they didn't seem to know what we were on about, but when we switched on the tv one morning a few days later, lorraine kelly was sitting in the studio surrounded by white christmas trees, so now our tree is named lorraine and is dressed every year in cream and silver balls ( this story should be made into a film by film 4)

    • Of course they do, watching cookery shows and buying cook books is a national pastime. However you raise a good point that some people claim they are time poor and end up eating out / takeaways as sometimes a quick macciedee is cheaper and easier than making a quick nutrious family meal.  However to put it in balance, not many people have the knowledge, confidence and time to cook Persian so good luck to team persepolis on this venture.
    • London doesn’t have a lot of Argentinian places specialising in empanadas, which suggests demand isn’t that great. There are many neighbourhoods with none at all or even nearby.  So for a mini-chain like Chango (several branches in SW London) to open here where there’s already a well established family run place doing the same feels a bit off.  I’ll be giving Chacarero my ongoing custom.
