Does anyone know who's camper van that is that's been parked outside Beauty Plus on Forest Hill Road for at least the last 4 months? Wouldn't really matter if it was in a residential road but it's taking up parking space for shoppers and also people who need to use the surgery opposite. It's got lots of animal stencils on the back, can't miss it really.
It's been there since just after Christmas - prior to that it was located about 300 yards up the road, not in controlled parking like it is now. It has CZ plates from memory. It is a bit of pain being parked near the junction as the buses have to pull out a bit to go round it. I also don't understand why it isn't being ticketed as it seems pretty clearly in the area where you only have a certain time to park. Maybe the owner has left a note on it?
There are two 'advert cars' which have been dumped on the road outside Goose green playground for a very long time. Both have flat tyres and adverts covering the windows. Fairly sure they can't be MOT'd. Ironically, one of them is advertising rubbish and removals.

At one time my car was on street view outside my mums house even though it had only been parked outside for 20 minutes when I dropped her off from shopping. My mum, myself and a neighbour were talking in the garden..

Southwark told me this morning that unless these vehicles are in a CPZ it's not their problem. I have emailed the Mayor's office to ask for advice. I suspect though that, under current traffic laws, unless the vehicles are untaxed or uninsured they probably cannot be removed. Tough on parents taking their kids to the playground or doing some shopping, but there we are.
I think no MOT is just a fine, not grounds for towing. But as someone has just posted that it is owned by someone living nearby, why not have a chat with them? This ploy to try and get their vehicle taken from them just because they are parked (legally) somewhere someone isn't happy with, is wrong.

    • Ah ok, so you’re saying I need to be underneath something like a table when I do the underwriting? That makes sense. Must be why they get paid so much - they’re managing the risks of working in a confined under space.
    • Our son goes to Dulwich Village Pre School and i can’t recommend more highly. Set surrounded by fields and run by a group of kind, straight forward and competent women.
    • The TW leak is right outside JAGS at the top of the hill and water was flowing in both directions.  At one point, combined with the thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon, the road under the bridge on Village Way was flooded as it couldn't drain fast enough.  Traffic was turning around rather than risking it. I don't think the lights on the bend are related but could be I guess.
    • I am bowing out of having anything to do with the community notice board issue now. I just went back to the beginning of the thread to read it through again,  because I couldn't remember how the whole discussion started. I then saw that the OP appears to have recently  been right through the thread they started in January and added various emojis to posts, including a quite inappropriate laughing emoji on a post concerning their own editing and/or deletion  of  at least one very nasty post about at least one  other forum member. It seems a bit ironic that that should be on a forum thread they started about an issue supposedly to benefit the community. And  they have also put  "confused" emojis on some of my posts which seem perfectly clear to me. I imagine that  when they read this they will go back and remove the emojis. Hopefully they  now have  enough information from Pugwash about the keys and the location of  unlocked noticeboards to finish their original excellent quest, which apparently started well over a year ago when they began emailing councillors, because I no longer have any inclination to spend more time on it.
