> At what point does a drink become soup?

I would dare to suggest that the two are not mutually exclusive. Some soups can be simulataneously both drinks and soups. However, once it contains any solid bits, or has been thickened to a "creamy" texture, it is no longer a drink.

Some time back in the 80's in the Herne Tavern my beer had lumps in...

I returned it to the bar where I was told by the 'Landlady' ?

"It's real ale Luv.. It's supposed to have lumps in it. It's the yeast.'

I told her.. "No it's not yeast.. You havn't cleaned your pipes. "

That was the last time I ever went in The Herne. never been back..

Also my missus told me she was leaving me whilst sitting in the bay window of the Herne.. so no fond memories of the place.

Just can't get my head around drinking soup from a cup.. Has to be a bowl and spoon...

Like drinking beer .. Has to be a glass glass.. not plastic.

Well that makes ALL the difference, where can we get some ?

Actually, what is 'authentically simmered'

Is there a costume involved ?

    • There seems to be a change in the reception staff - did not recognise a couple of them when I last visited.  Not sure whether one of the long term staff has retired as not seen her for a while.  Used on line facility as my podiatrist recommended antibiotics for a toe infection and also took photo of my toe which I attached yo my request. Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.
