You can buy Skin So Soft direct from the Avon site and it's as cheap as chips. I've been buying it for at about 20 years so it's an old (and best-selling) product. Most definitely works as a mosquito and midge repellant and it's shipped in bulk to by the British Army serving all over the globe.

The best product is the dry skin oil, but personally I supplement this with the bath oil as I have dry skin. This two pronged attack works for me and I never get bitten. I don't think it works for everyone though. Here's a testemonial/discussion:

didn't know where this thread was heading but someone beat me to the wicked witch is dead.

I can fully wholeheartedly endorse SSS (Skin So Soft) as giggirl said, the BEST midge-repellent ever. I heard it was used by the military too but no idea whether thats true...Its sold extensively in the Scottish Highlands, don't buy any others..SSS is all you need.

    • @Sue think this is your quote.  It wasn't binary, good Vs bad, and Corbyn had a lot of popular support, as evidenced by the previous election. He had aot of good policies, some picked up by others since. He was defeated by a mixture of a right wing press, good targeting  but the Tories, 'Get Brexit Done" and for some that Johnson was a funny loveable rogue/fool/liar/philander/opportunist.  I wouldn't see perceived least worst candidate out of the two major parties as being "good sense'.  We imagine that Corbyn would have been terrible, but we don't know.  He would have taken a stronger line against Israel in Gaza, not sucked up to Trump nut on Russia?
    • We have had 4 greyhounds - the last one, a bitch, was not speyed so we  had to pay for that at our local vet.  Only one dog was nervous around children and only one was cat friendly.
    • Apologies on the tardy reply, but thank you everyone for your responses and suggestions! Unfortunately I couldn't attend the recent EDF drinks because of work (I know right). But will absolutely keep eyes peeled for the next one and try and come down!
    • Because of the weather which delayed completion with roofer only being able to work certain days, it was up from November - end of January. Went slightly higher than gutters (we also had guttering replaced).
