Ahem. Cider with Rosie anyone? S'my favourite and has been for quite some time - and none of this overmarketed fucking Magners shite where some marketing twatola watched Withnail after a spliff one night and thought "kaboom! - 2 gins, 2 ciders, ice in the cider - I've only freaking got it".

You want a good pint of the hard stuff where if you leave it too long to settle, it looks like a gentleman has done something ungentlemanly in your drink.

But to the OP - Quids, I'd like to agree, but it's really freaking strong these days - to be honest that's a tax on my not getting tired and emotional, or happy and, er, over-exuberant. All to the good.

Exactly!

I like a cider if I'm feeling a bit hungover when I arrive at the pub. Nice easy pint to start with. Have to move on after a couple though, as it's a bit acidic.

In the name of God! That is a blast from the past... The Swan in Stockwell, James once went there because he heard it was choc full of student nurses. He imagined Barbara Windsor, and instead saw Hattie Jacques...(laughs socks off)

What a shame!

We met in Berkeley Square you know.

Gosh I am gorgeous.

Whoohay - The Swan. Those were the days.

We used to go to Mulligans Mayfair Friday nights and drag some well dressed girls off to the Swan. Early 1990s.

They used to say "I can't go to the Swan dressed in my smart work clothes" - but after a few drinks, they did.

The free "supper ticket" meant you did not have to buy them any food. Bonus.
