jimbo1964
I'm just getting some quotes for a new contents insurance for a three bed house in ED. My quotes are all aroung ?55 a month which is quite a lot more than I currently pay in a reasonably rough street in SW11. Is ED a den of thieves? Building insurance is a lot more too. I think this is because of subsidence in the area but I don't see why this should affect a contents policy.Direct Line is the cheapest so far. templeton
The AA quoted us hundreds of pounds less than some others. We paid around ?550 per annum for building and contents for a 3 bed house.

david_carnell
I pay less than ?30 per month thru Lloyds TSB as I have an account with them. Contents only though as I'm renting so don't have to worry about buildings insurance.

jimbo1964
When I rang Nat West (my current insurer) to cancel they undercut L&G so I'm going to be paying ?28 a month which is more like it.
