Without a doubt The Crooked Well in Camberwell. The Palmerston a medium distance second place.

Yeah crooked well is proper.

Have really enjoyed ones previously at the Palmerston, but recent reports have not been so encountering.

Pub roasts are almost always disappointing. Especially the tatoes.

Have tried pretty much everywhere that has been rated highly on here. Crooked Well by a long way. Only place where the potatoes are anything close to home made quality and the roast chicken sharer is knock out. If it's fully booked, they do pretty much the same menu and quality cooking at the Perry Vale in Forest Hill; it's their sister pub.

Had Roast at wood house last weekend lovely refit, roast 1 piece of meat and 1 potato cut in half. Pricey at ?16 for small amount of food.......
