It's the whole under the bus thing that got me.

We are kind of in a rush for various reasons, but we think we're getting a good price, and although I'm sure they'll continue to drop, we're planning on being there a fair while, so as long as we don't over stretch ourselves we should be fine. Besides, we've knocked them down a fair bit already, and they're in a powerful position in that they don't need to sell (they were renting this place out, and I get the impression they own at least another couple of places), so we don't have the same power as we would if they had to sell to move on in the chain.

Taking your wife's advise and not doing shots, shorts or drugs, and just sticking to pints, only to wake up feeling like you've done 10 pills, druk a bottle of sambucca, and been bottled by someone!

Maybe when they say "cash buyers" they mean people going through schemes like keyworker schemes. We're in the process of doing so, and although we're obviously getting a mortgage, it's all taken care of, and we have funds available that put us in a good position to act much like a cash buyer. As an aside, I'm new to it all, and really can't believe the bullshit that goes on!

Just for the record, I highly sympathise with anyone who has had abuse from this guy, especially if it was kids or a lady walking alone after dark or whatever. I don't doubt at all what people have said. I just find it difficult to understand the hateful bile some people have spouted about someone who is clearly not well. Yes you could argue that they should be gettins treatment somewhere, but your venom should be aimed at a system, not the results of it.

I appreciate that, but the people on Whateley are now gone, and it's not like this bloke is just going around abusing people for the fun of it because he's a bit of a nasty type!

Attack from within!

Not sure this is petty, but don't know where else to write this. Going on facebook, and stumbling across your best friend's (best man at your wedding and all that) girlfriend chatting openly to a mate of hers about their impending move to boro in a couple of months so they can have their baby up there and settle down. Then getting it confirmed by another mutual friend who seems to think it's old news. Texting said friend, and getting absolutely no response because, as ever, they can't face up to anything! Bit fecking annoying that one!

There is an AA isn't there? But confusingly it's smaller than A rather than bigger. Not sure how I know that, or even if it's correct.

Yep, so did we, so it had to be rebranded. I got a rib broken in secondary school playing "cops & robbers", but this wasn't the harmless "tag" based game of the same name! ;-) There was another one called "Chinese" (I have no idea why). I never played this one, but it was popular for a while, and involved the thrower of a ball getting many "beats" if the ball was caught one handed or somethign like that.

That's just not true, they will be placed on the waiting list with the same priority as all the other families in that situation, they don't jump to number 1 spot and take over everyone else! All these people moaning because they've waited years (and believe me, I do sympathise) could leave whatever home they were living in and present as homeless, and get the same treatment, but there is a reason they don't, and that's because it's a shite situation to be in!

Patball!!!!! Could involve several players, all you need is a tennis ball and a wall! The first player "serves" by boncing the ball off the ground and against the wall, then other players take turns to hit the ball with the palm of their hands, hitting it so it bounces once then hits the wall. The next player needs to hit the ball BEFORE it bounces, and after leaving the hand, it must bounce only once before hitting the wall. Advanced players can employ special shots such as the "low cut". Many a playtime / lunch time was spent playing patball in the first couple of years of secondary school!

They're not given PRIORITY because they're from abroad. If a person is homeless, no matter where they're from, they will be housed because the council has a duty to do so. More often than not people will be put in to a hostel of some sort, until a home can be found. If an English family with 2 kids went in and presented themselves as homeless, and then a family from abroad did the same thing, they'd get exactly the same service! Dems the facts!
