  1. I usually say, f**k me I'm outdoing even me leaving for work at half 10!
  2. Danny Dyre, he's always up for sounding as cockney as possible, and he and Jules can have a row so he can say "you slaaaaaaag"!
  3. I pint of Star is ?3.40 which is about the same as anywhere in the area. Wine list looked reasonable, it is not an expensive bar. I have no problem with people coming on here and giving a genuine reason for not liking something, but don't just come out with the same old cliches like central London prices, especially when it's just not true, and especially when they go on to talk about Franklins and Licorice, neither of which are exactly cheap (and that is not a poke at them).
  4. I think I am qualified to say no, never been a problem! :)-D
  5. Really? Mrs Keef spent about ?60 on ours, it Le Creuset though darling! Either way, it's the bo!!ocks!

Exactly!!! That's also why I never really got in to PC gaming, it's just not the same if you're not sat lounged on the in front of a TV screen!

Leave it on the heat for about 15 minutes until the handle is too hot to touch, then chuck the steak on, then turn the steak, then put it on a plate and eat it! Obviously you can do more flash things, but that's the basics! Do not do steak under a grill!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.culinaris-shop.com/WebRoot/Store17/Shops/61562434/485F/9174/A2C8/BFB6/9D94/C0A8/28BA/B051/grillpfanne_schwarz_m.jpg Cost us a few quid, but worth EVERY penny!
  8. Mischief making man! I don't think for a second Jeremy is suggesting the war is speculation, just that it carries little weight in this situation. More or less the point you made earlier wasn't it? ;-)
  9. Both Mrs Keef and I really enjoyed Michael Clayton starring HB's favourite George Clooney. I actually think he is a very good actor indeed, despite having done the odd bit of rubbish! This film is a bit Grishamesque, but much much more clever, and well written. Would recommend!
  10. I can't be bothered Sean, but can imagine what is said. Those things would be said by those people whatever was written because they are tw@ts! As I said, it's certainly not sympathetic to her, but it doesn't openly vilify, it just says enough to let the readers (and they know who their target readers are) make their own minds up and get riled. Intention is not what I was talking about! I still think it has a go at the landlord and the council more than her.
  11. Spot on! RE: Going out after work, I don't get it. I have never worked in the city, but whenever I've gone up to meet people after work, I wonder why they don't just jump on a tube and go drinking elsewhere! Market Porter is good though, but better after about 7 when the masses have fecked off!
  12. I'm not so sure, it's obviously not sympathetic to her as such, but I think it's having more of a go at the Landlord. RE: Kids sharing rooms, there are 7 kids, so a couple must be (she needs a room too), and the youngest is 8, so it may well be that the council couldn't legally insist on any others sharing, as there are laws about sharing over certain ages (sorry I can't remember exect ages now, and don't have time to look it up).
  13. The one bit of the story which actually bugs me, whether the details of this case be accurate or not, is that many landlords will charge massive rents if they know housing benefit is involved.
  14. That's all Spurs need!
  15. Games really shouldn't be alowed to be made in to films, look at the evidence, Resident Evil, Doom, Street Fighter (manga film aside)!!!!!!
  16. Yeah but he could turn water in to wine! He just chose his friends badly!
  17. I have brown hair, and until Sean or Piers mentioned it I'd not thought of it at all. In fact, I'd always read it as Ted Mex, and thought of him as the villan from Super Ted. http://www.blackpig.co.uk/newsletters/2005/hiremee-march05/tex.jpg Texas Pete "Tex".
  18. Yeah that 484 to Brockley does take ages! Used to get it to school every day years ago.

    Petty Annoyances

Not a dig at Sean, but him using the phrase made me think of this. People saying "I'm saying nothing". You clearly bloody are, not only literally, but in making a statement about what was said.
  20. Rats can't whisper a magic word and turn in to super rat, unlike squirrels! http://www.avongrove.org/agis/Teachers/m_adcock/studentwebs/Cycle4/AlexR_squirrels/super%20cool%20squirrel.jpg
  21. I wish I could have learnt some of my nan's recipies, she really is an amazing cook of traditional dishes! I just learnt by chucking things in and seeing what happened.
  22. Agree, agree and agree! I use buses A LOT, both to get to and from work, and then to travel around the borough of Greenwich going to appointments most days. I try to read my book (fortunately I'm not one to get travel sick doing this), but the kids phone music and just general noise levels actually makes me feel sick! RE: The jerking start/stopping thing, I think the 176 is the worst for this when travelling down hill between E Dulwich library and the police station! Sure it happens elsewhere, but always notice it here, and it really can get the stomach churning! Having said all that, I'd be stuck without them, and driving is not an option for me, so I guess they're better than nothing.

At this stage I feel I should say I was joking before David is labelled as a boob obsessed perv*. Peep show is a funny sitcom, not a boob programme. * More so than the average bloke that is.

Of course it is, David is a bit peep show fan! Keep up!
