  1. I was pleased SL beat Everton, and not at all due to distaste for Everton (that's an aside). They were bloody unlucky against Liverpool, and I really felt for them, so want them to do well.
  2. Are you sure it's not wiggilywoo the worm?

    lookalikes

Wasn't knocking him at all, one of the best male vocalists ever! I was just saying, quite fairly I think, that he didn't really fit in to the whole "in those days men were men" theory.
  4. Watching channel 4 news last night Ken Livingst was on talking about Ian Blair / Boris Johnson, and in talking about politics getting involved with police work he mentioned the Wire!
  5. That is indeed a good claim. Almost a shame that it wasn't one of his really crucial goals, but at least it was an awesome one rather than a tap in.
  6. Watched Pierrepoint last night, film about Albert Pierrepoint "the last hangman" (although he actually wasn't). Pretty good stuff, a bit of dramatic lisense used with the facts, but Timothy Spall was very good. Also, I find it quite hard watching things about executions, as I just can't reconsile myself to it, but this was done in a sympathetic and not overly grim or dramatic way.
  7. Ah yes, had forgotten about that.
  8. I know, I used to be [John] Willem van Otterloo, conductor/composer (Symphonic), who died on the day of my birth aged 70. We even have similar last names.
  9. Guess they're having a dig at his age, and suggesting that dementia is on the cards. Nice to see that dementia is looked at as lunacy in some circles :-S
  10. Yeah but typically the rich were better off and could even take their riches with them so as to continue the class war in the afterlife. Also, "bad" people would surely have chosen to not bother, being that the alternative was being eaten by a crocadile headed God (if my memory serves).
  11. I'm sure they hit other planets too Jeremy, but s/he has a lot on his/her plate, and cries a lot due to the stress (must be the her part of him/her). *Gets struck by frying pan shaped lightning bolt*
  12. Infact, not having kids could be seen as going against the "selfish gene". Now there's an irony!
  13. Have to admit that I would have taken that as a referrence to Judas, but it's still nasty whichever way you look at it.
  14. Moos Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Nope, sorry. Boo hiss!!! Was hoping to get more than the usual fleeting hello as we pass in the night like two drunk ships. Tillie, have fun larging it with the freshers! Will see you when you're back :)-D
  15. Oh, and if God sneezes, would I be getting above my station in saying "bless you"?
  16. If rain is God crying for us, is a tsunami God sneezing?
  17. Did the same supporters come up with the skol song by any chance? :-) Great result, and agree totally about the goal celebration, It's like a primary school forward roll!
  18. Sorry, just reread Sean's post and I'd missed the point in my haste. You can definitely still use slips in HSBC.
  19. What is so bad about paying in books, assuming you actually have one when needed? It's all filled out for you, much less hassle. God I wish I had something to pay in to my bank!
  20. Mrs Keef going round to a friend's for dinner and a chat, so I guess I'll be popping down at some stage. Might try to turn up early and sober for a change...
  21. Seriously, I saw chocolate advent calendars in the shop the other day, and found it so depressing!
  22. That's more than I ever could have hoped for!
  23. So Strawbs is thinking about your beaver, and Sean wants to clean you? :-S
  24. I think we live on through what we do, be it have kids, make good art, play great music, or generally just be nice to people so they say "suchandsuch was a top fella wasn't he" whilst chatting about you in the pub. Other than that, I guess death is death.
