Shit, I did invite a couple of people from the forum to my wedding bash! And how did you know about my secret crush on Piers, I thought I'd hidden it so well with manly slaps on the back during hugs! :-S

Knowingly hopping in the sack with your sibling is weird, but just imagine for a moment that you found out tomorrow that your partner, spouse, whatever, was actually your long lost sibling. Would you just be able to turn off your feelings for them because society deemed it correct? I have nothing but the deepest sympathy for the people in these cases!

As she pointed out, the whole point of a laser is to destroy something, not fix it. Having said all that, I know 2 people who have had it done, and both have been happy with the results, and no longer need glasses. One word of warning though, it's quite expensive, and not always permanent. My friend is shortly going in for his second lot a couple of years after his first time round.

Right then, there was more talk about this on another thread, but it all went quiet a while ago. Who stuck with it, and what did you think? I wasn't at all sure about it for the first couple, but have grown to love it! The rapport between Gene & Alex is superb, and the man/woman relationship is a welcome releif from the man to man macho oneupmanship that existed with Gene & Sam in Life on Mars. I loved LOM, but actually I think I've had more enjoyment out of this series. Last one tonight, and it's the day of her parents death, but I'll be surprised if this is the last one, I think they'll do 2 series as with LOM... (if you remember, series 1 of LOM ended with a big life event for Sam, he found out his father was bad news after all). Do you think next will be a 90s black, gay policeman going back for some time with Gene??? >:D<

Thing is, they're not looking for the characters. They need a Tre, so they have Raef. They definitely need a Katie (psychotic nutter), and I think there are a couple of contenders there! I quite liked the red head girl in the shirt & tie, but she'll probably turn out to be as annoying as the rest. Glad something else worth watching is starting now Ashes to Ashes is finishing. (that's another thread)

You're fired! - Alan Sugar (although apparently he didn't want to use it this series, but the BBC have him under contract to say it).

With regards the tasks, none of themhad a clue, so I think they should have worked together on them a bit more. As for the pricing, that was a huge mistake, but even I know ?5 is insanely cheap for a lobster, and I hate fish/seafood! You'd have thought 1 out of the 8 of them would have said something rather than blaming it all on the one guy. I thought he would speak up for himself well though, but his whole educated / class type arguement was cringe worthy, and he pretty much sealed his own fate! As for the girls, I think I'm going to really hate the Dark haired girl who "rates herself as probably the best sales person in Europe", and the other one who was going on in a really LOUD and CONFIDENT voice, but who really did sound a bit thick!

Alex was a complete and utter knob jockey! He didn't have a clue, and his tactic was bullying. Nicholas was a twat, and deserved to go, although I would have liked to have seen Alex get the boot. Raef - at the very beginning I thought he was a tw@t, and he probably is. However, I respected him because he stood up to bullying, and stood up for a couple of the weaker ones. I would put him above the 4 or 5 estate agent types in the group. As for the girls, I think we'll see some great bitch fights in the coming weeks! I missed the first 2 series, but got totally in to it last time round, glad to have it back!

Lazy f@cker. That's not the half of it. Hunt for red october - Russian Submarine bloke - Scottish accent. Several bond films - English Spy - Scottish accent, Highlander - "Spanish Peacock" (although for some reason I think there was Egyptian in there too - Scottish accent!!! It's like he's so cocky, he doesn't think he should even need to try!

Need to correct my own entry. "I pity the fool" wasn't actually B.A. Baracus, it was Clubber Lang in Rocky 3.

Would have gone for the Porter, but it was chocka! Brendan, I like the way you think! White Lightening anyone?

gerry Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Moos, I think that teachers do have a very difficult job, and in some schools inexperienced teachers are suffering because they haven't got the parenting skills to help them through the tough situations. Parents make their job more difficult by not backing them up, confusing the child. I'm really not sure about this. You're completely right that teachers have a bloody difficult job, and often parents don't help them very much. However, a teacher should not need parenting skills! Being a good school teacher and being a good parent are worlds apart in my opinion.

In The George at Borough the other evening, ordered 2 pints of Peroni, ?7.90!!! So that's ?3.95 a pint. Now Peroni might be a nice lager and all that, but what is it that makes it 50-70p a pint more than the likes of Grolsch, or even *shudders* Stella?

Officially last orders is 11...
