  1. Hi, we are flying from Heathrow in a couple of weeks, with our, by then, 9 month old daughter. We may just get a cab, or a lift if we're lucky, but my wife was wondering if anyone knew of any good public transport options that we might not of considered. Thanks
  2. Hey, you've nothing to sat sorry about. Yeah, I cann't really see myself playing online, so maybe that's the best way, just connect it when I want to download stuff...
  3. I know, but location of my moden is not ideal for it.
  4. Felt the need to come on here in shock. I just looked up wireless adaptors for the xbox360, so I can go online. I was expecting it to be ?20 or something. Amazon want pretty much ?80 for it!!!! Have seen it for ?40, but even that is well out of order IMO. For the time being, I shall be gaming offline!
  5. Voronin has left Liverpool. Thank f**k for that!!!!!
  6. Naz was good value, but the fact he just disappeared after losing his title, and never went and got it back, means he was not a great. Barrera had him totally and utterly worked out, and Naz had no answer, and couldn't change his style.
  7. He does lack class in talking about money, and some of the things he's said about people. However, he is an awesome fighter, and I really hope him and pac-man get it on. Although pac-man has new announced he'll fight Ghana's Joshua Clottey in March, so it won't be happening for a while. I am too young to have enjoyed the golen age of boxing so missed lots of the greats, and have had to watch them in replays. My list, based simply on the fact I've enjoyed watching them, would be (in no particular order); Nigel Benn Chris Eubank Evander Holyfield (although please quit now, you were great in the 90s) Tyson Mayweather
  8. Good to see this thread being used.
  9. To be honest, I doubt you'll get more than ?100.
  10. Especially given that Watson should have won their first fight.
  11. As would the Arsenal team ;-)
  12. Pre Michael Watson Eiubank would have demolished Collins!
  13. I was thinking of that fight earlier, and wasn't sure what the general opinion would be. It was an amazing fight to watch, and considering Benn wasn't given a chance by the bookies, and he was knocked through the ropes in the first round, it was an amazing performance to come back and win it. However, it will obviously be remembered for the results, and I'd agree that Benn was also effected long term by it. I guess the silver lining is that rules were changed after that fight, and other boxers may have been saved since as a result. Just such a shame that a young guy with a hell of a talent, had to finish up that way. Ref should have stopped it earlier, even the commentators could see that things were not right. On a cheerier note, Absolute classic. They had a rematch which was a bit of a dull draw, and never got round to a third fight, which is a shame. I still to this day believe that these 2 were the best fighters, and had Calzaghe or Steve "feckoff" Collins fought either of them at their prime, things would've been different. Neither one of them could have stood with either of the fighters in the above clip.
  14. Quite right. With the exception of Newsnight, and Question Time (if that counts), BBC news (on telly) is shocking! In fact, I used to be a big Channel 4 news fan, but even they have gone a bit tabloid lately.
  15. If I pop in, it will be early doors Piers. Perhaps a swifty around 8 (downstairs in the EDT). Then I have to go and see a man about a dog in the CPT.
  16. That fight was awesome Jah.
  17. Agree that Ali showed more brains and class than todays fighters on fight build ups. Still think someone in his camp should have told him to shut up at times though.
  18. Not this weekend you won't.
  19. Yeah I'm not quite sure how we got here, but felt I needed to jump in with some facts.
  20. I've obviously only seen it all by replays, but have watched a lot of Ali, and Frazier, and personally I prefer Frazier. Not saying he was better than Ali, but I found him more exciting to be honest. Ali also showed the flaw in his character by the way he spoke about Frazier, calling him the white mans hope and all that bollix, especially considering that Frazier helped Ali get his license back! The 3rd fight was a draw in my eyes, in that Ali has stated that he'd asked for his gloves to be cut off after the 14th, which would have made Frazier winner (Frazier was begging his trainer to let him fight on, but it was stopped because he was basically blind). Ali was funnier though. Don't want to dis the great sportsman that Ali was, but as a man, he acted like a bit of a cock at times.
  21. He was never a great fighter, and was never going to keep a title long, but Love Nigel Benn at ring side too.
  22. I can't wait for the east london line to open from Forest Hill, will make my life so much easier!
  23. I may make it down for a swift one, but definitely won't be there long.
  24. I did like the show which was totally dedicated to Barbra Streisand. Didn't really know much about her, and thought she was a good guest.
