  1. thanks lowlander. I am now going to ignore this thread that is not a thread!
  2. I am truly sorry I started this. I did NOT want to start another ghastly crapulous thread on the sociological aspects of retail. I just wanted to know if m&s would happen. I am still none the wiser and seriously want you all to stop
  3. I can';t e bothered reading the appalling 10-mile m&s thread. I just want to know - yes or no - if the proposal is alive or dead. indeed was it ever alive outside the forum?
  4. lots of morse was filmed in london... asll those nice streets with nice vic houses. they always did just a few oxford scenes with the bod and the spires and the riverside pub.
  5. we are scutari road and we have a full complement of bars on the phone (at the moment. doesn;t do to be too confident
  6. he is very young det con morse. can't remember the young actor's name his boss is played by roger allam

  8. zzzzzzzzzzz. this thread is a perfect way to nod ff
  9. we haver suddenly been able to use our mobile after weeks of being blanked by vodafone/bt. we thought the obstruction to the radio mast had been cleared but today I drove round there and saw the massive building crane still hard up against honour oak baptist chapel. can it be that vodafone have stirred themselves to do someting for paying customers. that is obviously a mad suggestion. be nice to know what miracle has occurred
  10. my mobile now works properly for the first time since november. has the dreaded vodafone mast debacle on honour oak baptist church roof been fixed?
  11. There is a dog whop dumps outside our front gate regularly. I spotted the female owner one day and shouted at her, but she ran away. we have jack russells and I would NEVER let them do that
  12. has been moved from these discussion pages to the calmer waters of classified business etc. wee bit sensitive aren't we? it was an interesting discussion
  13. how's the snow? cold and wet and bloody annoying
  14. isn't this getting just a tad out of hand? not literally of course!
  15. dear hugie baby how like you to take offence at a bit of harmless badinage. lighten up a bit, you are too far up yourself by half. maybe you have lived abroad too long and have lost track of british ribbing. I am not aware that james if offended.
  16. just had an email from the lib-dems, telling me how they have arranged for gritters to operate and how they've sorted road works, the trains, buses, volume of snow and everything else. we are not worthy!
  17. they were in the off lead area. she was hysterical even tho the dogs were nowhere near her and I DO think people should try to deal their own problems instead of unpleasantly involving passers-by. I am not a therapist and there are plenty who can help her
  18. they are all liars. I have dumped them and gone to talk talk. screw vodafone. happily my contract was with bt and they have torn up the contract without a fight. still 2 more weeks before my mobile works.
  19. bt have told me that they will release me from my contract and assist me to port my number etc to a new supplier because of the vodafone problem. apparently, it is not likely to be solved any time soon. vodafone say, of course, that their engineers are working round the clock. cobblers!
  20. this appalling company swore to me at 5pm yesterday that the mobile reception problem in peckham rye-forest hill-scutari road area would be completely resolved within 12 hours. I was assured that this was a "corporate promise". needless to say, this was total tosh and the cr*p lack of reception is as bad as ever. switching to 02 (who have plenty of masts) is more exspensive amd anmyway we have a contract with bt business mobile. how can anyone ever win?
  21. roger (I ask you) also told me at the start of our brief liaison that the ,mobile number I gave him was in correct. I have had this number for yonks. these people really are tossers. I fully expect to be berating another "roger" early tomorrow
  22. a man named roger at vodafone told me the service will back up in 12 hours from now. he sd it was a corporate promise!! set you clocks now... and then explode all over him
  23. this junction has been cr*p for years and this may not make things any better. stand by for midsummer completion
  24. huguenot, you miss the point. the 30mph limit is mot policed, so how will be the new one be any different? and lady delilah, motorists pay massively mote than other road users... that is why!
