  1. still ongoing, but no one is there today working to get it finished. silly of me to expect anything, of course!
  2. just what we need on the lane. another estate agent!!!
  3. could not agree more with both previous posts. the dog owner was a disgrace and so are the litter louts. sadly the park warden has that effect on many he "has a word" with. he is much a nightmare as the people he deals with
  4. peckham rose, you are wrong! the sexby garden was never an on lead area and there were never any signs saying that it was. I have no doubt that the council's current anti-dog pogrom plans have included such a ban
  5. these "new" lights (never demanded by residents, but installed at great exepense) were once again knackered over the bank holiday weekend. it was the usual problem of the colyton road lights staying on red, forcing motorists to take a chance and jump the red or turning round going the very long way around peckham rye. can nothing be done to ensure that these lights work properly? we are all getting very fed up with it.
  6. terrific turnout yesterday for the fair play for dogs photo session. more than 45 owners and their many dogs were there (not an unpicked up poo in sight) and the pix should be in southwark news later this week. all sensible dog supporters should be at the clock house pub on saturday morning at 10 for a meeting to discuss the campaign.
  7. probably going the elfansafety way of all things. fill it in. kids could drown, pigs could fly etc
  8. road from goose green to rye lane taped off by police after an incident involving a bus. anyone know what happened?
  9. this whole issue is being conducted by southwark in its usual cack-handed manner. no one really knows what they have in mind, except that it will enrage the maximum number of people (and probably dogs). the dog free area is called the arboretum just beyond the sexby gardens. dogs are strictly banned there, but it doesn't help when the yummy mummies leave a gate open!
  10. there are already football pitches in peckham rye park, surely the harris boys could use them, although they should not have any ownership of them
  11. clearly credibility is in the eye of the beholder, ms burgess
  12. dug up at the LL junction yet again. this time temporary lights and one way traffic. how many more time is this junction going to be knackered?
  13. mako I walk the dogs every day in peckham rye park, sometimes twice a day. I know that in the winter months, very few people without dogs are there. we all want the bloody council to leave us alone.
  14. there are usually more dogs in the park than people. in the winter usually only dog people are there at all. I wonder what input that miserable bully on a bike park warden had into this. there is a man totally out of synch with his "customers".
  15. we need someone to help with a couple of minor problems. leonie, a dog walker on the rye, recently qualified as dog trainer/behavourist. she has a gorgeous manchester terrier I should like to talk to leonie about our dogs but do not know her number. my number is 07793583442
  16. bossing the isthmian takes bucket loads of cash. that is something hamlet do not have, mid table at best
  17. I occasionally (often enough to be a statistic) walk up east dulwich grove on my way to the hospital for a blood test or summat. I have NEVER been bothered by traffic refusing to stop. the people on this forum just like to join in a complaint thread.
  18. no. today. we use the service to get to wekend trade shows
  19. from denmark hill now take 30 mins to get there. are the they now going the pretty way. it is all madness
  20. my god! not men with clipboards? walking around? there goes the neighbourhood!
  21. I have a new electric car. have all the right cables and sockets, but cannot get it the charge. need some expert advice. 07793583442
  22. maybe kalamity kel wouldn't be much liked either. wha ta stupid generalisation
  23. we are getting one tomorrow and wonder if anyone on the forum can help with a basic query. until we get a charge point installed at our house, we shall have to use the public charge point round the corner, do you just plug in or do you have to use a card of some sort? any advice would be most welcome
  24. however, many other questions remain resolutely unanswered.
  25. there is a council election coming up and I believe a spot of grassroots muscular independence could make all the difference. we all love peckham rye and it is clearly up to us to make a stand for common sense. independent community action!
