  1. I never ever would, james. but then I am not a lib dem with his head in the clouds. fraternally, your etc
  2. james, you are excluding the largest challenged group of all.... the incredibly stooopi!
  3. it was the quietest in east dulwich I can remember and hardly bothered our dogs at all. is it that people don't have the cash to burn any more?
  4. it is so easy for some of the people on this forum to go into a shop (or maybe pretend they have`) and then slag off the shop and the people in it. small independent retailers are having a tough time these days and the snarky brigade on here should really be more careful. I do not think any shopkeeper in LL would be rude to anyone who was not being unpleasant to them. it would make no business sense at all. just pause for thought before you ruin an reputation just because you can.

    The Patch

tallula71, you are a snooty tosser. obviously your paltry IQ is below entry requirements for guardian, a newspaper with an honourabal left of centre history. stick to the mail, luv
  6. help! help! save us from the attack of the ladybirds. just hark at yourselves.
  7. unlurked... please just bore off will you? waitrose, m&s, either is better than the slumlike iceland. we are now at the 50th page of this saga which has lasted longer than the archers. most of us want the new guys. you apparently don't, or just like arguing. please, go a w a y!
  8. the patch website is about as informative as a blank sheet of paper
  9. pc adrian crust was, and still is, our local beat bobby. sadly he has to get here from camberwell these days. I still see him round and about, but not s much as before. lordship lane is still a thriving shopping street and thieves are just as enthusiastic and devious. it is just that you have to phone up and hope someone will come back to you.
  10. can't remember many times being able to drive at 20mph on lordship lane for years. certainly not now there are pedestrian lights every six feet. it is all loony.. any main road is for traffic. it has cost a fortune to tackle a problem that wasn't there
  11. I have just been told by a lordship lane shopkeeper that mary portas may be involved in this new venture
  12. I have heard that the hairdresser who was planning to take over moo too's space is no longer going to happen. does anyone know who is coming in?

you did not have to take the cafe thread down. you chose to. it was not in any way actionable or libellous. you just chickened out against not very big guns. well done. sleep easy tonight
  14. there isn't any sort of guide price. if the money is right maybe waitrose......
  15. I must say the coffee place that must not be mentioned do seem to be so far up their coffee grinder that they stumble about in darkness. get over yourselves coffeeanon.

    all sewn up?

the sewing shop formerly known as mootoo is, I gather, going to be a hairdresser. sew, there you are.
  17. I was bending over to look in a shop window on lordship lane a few months ago when a child on a bike rode into me. I ticked him off and his father came up and shouted at me to "look where you are effing going". funny old world
  18. you are by anbd large too far up yourselves. we have lived in ed since 1988. we liked it then and grew to love it. I doubt if we will ever leave. I feel most forumites will never really be happy anywhere
  19. ignore peckhampam. she sounds pretty miserable herself. you have suffered hell at the hands (feet) of your disgusting neighbour. the fact is that you will have to move. she isn't going to, so sadly it is you going. sooner the better, but give haart and the landlord a verbal and written kicking on the way out. you could, of course, superglue the key to her front door.... but that would be a rotten thing to do and should not be even considered. oh no. absolutely not
  20. too small for starbucks. they are looking at the clothes exchange store next to the edt, which has two oovels
  21. disappointing programme. east dulwich got barely a mention plus a few shots of lordship lane, majoring on the a-board outside the defunct sewing shop. beats me how forest hill is preferable to us.
  22. there will be no widening or change to dog off-leads areas in peckham rye park. that was made quite clear to the meeting on saturday by coouncilor barrie hargrove, southwark's head of parks and open spaces. this assurance was given with no qualifications or get-out clauses so we take it ss kosher. peckham rye park is now officially wonderful for everyone on two legs or four!
  23. we have a splendid shop on lordship lane and need a really good woodworker to design and build a new counter unit for us asap. please conrac david on 007793583442
