  1. I got kicked out of Brownies at the age of 8 for refusing to swear an oath to the Queen. I told my daughter to just pretend when she went to Brownies tho, so she's learned it's ok to lie courtesy of oath swearing and her republican mummy!
  2. My kids were more scared of me than they were of their mates, so while their friends were selling drugs, robbing people and getting banged up, mine as far as I know, weren't (or never got caught). The friends of theirs that did do all these things mainly came from parents who had succumbed to depression, drugs and alcohol or just working so fucking hard they never had any time for their kids, during the hight of Thatcher's glory days.
  3. Ok MM - So you can't blame the children born of the Thatcher era for having no regard for the society that spawned them then, if you think what she did in the name of competition and big business was justified. They are the collatoral damage that she figured was unimportant in the wake of her 'revolution', but who are now no longer children and scaring the crap out of all the comfortable middle-classes who can't understand why they are full of hate and resentment. So instead of looking at the valid reasons the spawn of Thatcher hate the comfotably off, the comfortably off scream about ASBO's and locking up kids and youths in massive numbers and think Thatcher was OK cos they weren't affected. Think again, you are affected. Every time you feel scared to walk home at night or get your money out of a hole-in-the-wall, or when you lower your eyes when you have to walk past an angry youth in a hoodie with his/her scary dog, you are affected by the legacy of Thatcher.
  4. I'll see if I can get this on facebook myself. I'll post a link if I get it sorted! Edit - couldn't manage the causes bit so sent it as a superwall post to everyone I know,
  5. Steve I signed the petition, but you should do a facebook 'causes' thing using your piece above and send it to everyone.. I know a lot of Green Party people and will put a motion to the Green Party Autumn conference to try to get some publicity if you like. You would have to give me a hand with the specifics of what you want to change. It's really disgusting that this has been allowed to go so far and nothing has been done about it. I know other small licencees who have had licences refused by the council because they didn't fit with the council and developer's notion of 'development' so even if you do get your own un-tied premises, you are still vulnerable.
  6. Lizzy & Maximay - yes she hated all the working classes, North and South, but the economy of the South was protected to a certain degree and her destructive policies took longer to make an impact down here than they did up North because of the North's bigger dependence on manurfacturing. PGC - she only broke the unions to enable her friends in business to outsource all their low/unskilled jobs to cheaper countries, The devastation this caused was purely about big business's bottom line and maximising their profits. So now all the working class kids have to look forward to is 'would you like fries with that' as the only industry left for them is the service industry. No wonder many would prefer sidestepping legitimate work and moving into the more dodgy areas of employment.
  7. I think Northerners and NI residents look on her differently than the ones from the South, because many in the South did well under her tyranical reign. I will always hate her for bringing the working class of Liverpool and the rest of the North to their knees and Blair too for continuing her work, destroying the working class countrywide.
  8. My family more than money
  9. my heart bleeds for the evil bit(h, just like hers did for all of us Northerners whose communities she destroyed.
  10. Hi click on ths link for a list of solicitors that do property law. Click on the link to each solicitor to get all their details. Some do legal aid, so may do pro bono, or you may be able to persuade one of the others to fight for the museum.
  11. Mark - why don't you just put up a sample of pubs and a way to vote next time and the most popular gets it?
  12. The original post was about how unattractive a woman looks chewing gum, but maybe she doesn't give a shit if you find her attractive or not. Maybe she finds your anally retentive stress-reddened faces unattractive. Damn you guys need to start getting some sex or a hobby. And incase you wondered, I don't chew gum because it is full of chemicals.
  13. Robbery is defined as theft with violence or the threat of violence, so saying robbery with violence is uneccesary.
  14. land law was my worst subject, but I was going to say what Sean MG said above, but I'd get it in writing if I were you and sell the new bed when I was ready to move!
  15. Snorky, I laughed my tits off at your post and now my boss knows i wasn't working!
  16. Woops, sorry drunken haze and memory lapse.
  17. I had a great time meeting everyone again, but my ex chickened out. I started off quite well but quickly got drunk, sorry bout the headbutt AnnaJ! Then I got my rather shapely arse down to the dive that is known as 'The Temple Bar' to get my groove on with my daughter and her mates. Was joined by my ex later in the evening and had the mandatory booze soaker-upper in Bagel King then get my drunken self back on the nightbus with cute ex boyfriend. Cheers me dears.
  18. Yeh, see u'z later
  19. Erm, not quite sure wot ur on about mate, but I don't think so!?!
  20. I'm not that great but I could probably help with anyone that did want to bring the decision to close the museum to the High Court for a judicial review. It's not a very difficult process but I think the court fees are about ?400 tho. Does anyone know if the people fighting the closure want to do that? We would need as much evidence as we could get that the decision makers acted either illegally, irrationally or against proper procedure. It seems that this may have been the case. Maybe looking at the levels of funding in different areas for less worthy projects might be something that could help. Anyway the judicial review has to be brought within 3 months of the decision. I do judicial review appplications against Home Office immigration decisions at the moment (fairly successfully I might add!), so I'd be happy to have a go at this with some help.
  21. Jah yes he is a bit of a low fellow; a stinkard; a scoundrel, but a likeable one, you'll see.
  22. Haha yeh that's the one. He wants to come and say hello.
  23. But must be nice with dough.
  24. If I bring Terence my errant ex, will you all promise to be nice to him?
