Haha, or laying eggs!

Is there really a need for anyone to own a 4x4 in London? Or a car for that matter if they are not elderly or disabled?

I think what happened to the little girl was terrible but why should every bull breed owner, or even dog owner have to put up with the tirade of dog-hating/chav-hating comments whenever something awful like this happens. It reminds me of the kind of prejudice spewed out against young black men (must be muggers) and asians (must be terrorists) that most people would automatically recognise as abhorrent. Why should I make choices in my life to appease/placate/pander to people who have fears of whatever I'm making a choice about? So because certain people are scared/unfamiliar with a certain class of people or breed of dog, I should then avoid adopting clothing/mannerisms etc to appear to be the same as them and seem un-threatening in my familiarity? No thanks.

You'd love flying in a microlight then! Scary little mosquito things. I was in two seater with an insane pilot - definitely never again!

What happened was appalling and I am wondering why the owners haven't been prosecuted, as the police (in SE1 where I used to live) are usually very quick in my experience to deal with dangerous dogs and their owners if anyone is hurt. What is also distressing however is people going on to brand a whole class of people (ie chav dog owners) as being somehow to blame because of this person's behaviour. Would you condemn all men for the violence and abuse of a minority, or all mothers because a few neglect their kids? Please can you think before you post sweeping generalisations about people who have nothing to do with what happened and who know how to treat their dogs and neighbours properly. The hostility that responsible dog owners get because of a few criminally negligent people, nowadays is unfair and divisive.

Can you describe the dog? What colour it was etc, incase the owner gets it back.

Hi, I got four chickens a few months back and just as they all started laying, a fox got 3 of them. i was gutted, especially as it was my fault, I'd forgotten to put the cover to the run back on in the evening. I got another 3 and have made sure I locked tham back up each evening and they seem to be doing fine. My dog seems to keep the foxes away during the day and both him and my kitten get on great with the chickens. They are brilliant and really funny so yes I think everyone should get some!

There are all kinds of trust arrangements rich people set up to avoid all that paying inheritance tax malarky - it's only the middle classes who are 1st generation inheritance taxees that don't know their way around this stuff - I'll only charge ?100 per hour advice on the wonderful subject of protecting rich peoples dough if anyone wants it!

Didn't anyone see me in Peckham last Saturday with Sean Berry? We didn't get any press tho. It's true that you have 2 votes for mayor so if the person you vote for 1st time doesn't get in, they go out and your second vote is counted. So you could vote Green and if Ms Berry doesn't get in, the second vote would be the one that counts. Plus don't forget you have the Assembly Members to vote for. You get the constituency ones and then you get to vote for the list. So it's three elections in one go so you can give the Greens loads of votes and still keep Boris out if you want to.

Even if she had no legal title, she may be entitled to a share under equity (a kind of fairplay-Judge-made law) but if you can show she only paid her half of the houshold & living expenses and made no contributions to the purchase, upkeep or improvement of the property, then she should have no extra claim - but tell him not to move out to be on the safe side. I was crap at Land Law - but I think the co-ownership splitting of property should be dependant on the proprtion each has put into the purchase and ongoing costs of the property but there have been cases where a wife was living in the matrimonial home and the husband sold it behind her back. The fact that she was living there, despite having no legal claim on the property the new owner couldn't eveict her as she had an equitable right (the deception of the husband and knowledge of the buyer played a large part in it tho).

They are disgusting w@nkers but shutting down debate just helps their cause. You can't close down someone's freedom of speech, just because what they say is revolting, you should exercise your freedom of speech and show the flaws in their twisted thinking instead.

I was looking rather bright! I like the purple top tho AnnaJ - almost as bright as mine. And I may have beaten you on the gurning front, you still look dignified in yours!

In case anyone is wondering - the Mayor has offered to pay for the costs of implementing a 20 mph limit in all residential areas of London so Southwark won't have to pay anything to implement this. It has been a Green issue for quite a while because people seem to play down the significance of the thousands of deaths on the roads because we all want to retain the right to drive about in metal boxes cocooned from the world, but if the same number of people were killed by for example drugs, we would have had politicians jumping up and down trying to act even tougher than they already act and out-toughing each other on the sentences etc for drug dealers.
