Of course I beleive in people taking more personal responsibility e.g. the CEO's of Shell in Nigeria, the bosses of Northern Rock, the bankers who gambled on the sub-prime market, Thatcher and Blair for allowing the powerful to become more powerful etc.

I didn't realise things like fertility were a lifestyle choice - and stuffing chemicals down your throat or into your arse to prevent pregnancy is not always either, available, desirable or failsafe.

Ok Rico, so you want people who at present are often quoted as feeling excluded from society, to be made homeless and deny them money to survive? So lets just think this through. Said underclass, suddenly starving and homeless watching, weedy, crock wearing middleclasses stuffing their alfalfa sprouts into their gobs. Anyone think the homeless chavs would remain hungry and homeless for long? Or do you think the middle classes would be happy to spend Tarquin's school fund money on 24 hour security and 15 foot walls?

Magnolia walls, crocks and decking could be presecribed for their rehabilitation. Or do you think they would need to start shopping in bland, expensive, tasteless shops for the full-transformtion to take effect?

Oppression comes in many forms, and the 'i'm more of a victim than you' mentality only serves to divide and conquer us.

James - so you think when black offenders get sent to prison more readily and for longer sentences than white offenders for the same offences, the judge might think, "oh, that white man might be gay, let me treat him as badly as I treat the black man I just sent down" or when applying for a job the CV of the person with the surname Patel or Nwoke will end up in the bin right next to the white but Gay James Smith? I don't think so. I will fight against any prejudice, including prejudice based on sexual orientation, race and class, but don't try to tell me that there is less prejudice against non-whites than there is against gay men in this country because it's just not true.

Couldn't they have used it for a school? Seems they need a boys one round here.

Brixton is so passe. I've sent my chavettes out to find host families in the most ghetto areas of the world, so don't worry thrill seekers, you will not be disapointed!

Anna - it gets easier as you get older. You can chat to guys about stuff and if they get to the have you got a bf stuff, you can do the aunty/mother/older sister thing and it generally works if you are over 35. Younger than that and they still think they can mess you around. Also practice the scary frown. I think that is one of the nice things about getting older, you can relax more about talking to guys without worrying if they think you fancy them. In my 20's I stopped talking to guys on any deep level about anything, unless it was my partner cos I got so pissed off with them thinking I wanted to do more than just have a conversation.

It helped me get over my disabling, irrational fear of the white middle class.

I used to do the sexual freedom march back in the day with persons of every kind of sexual identity proudly marching together. I still want a chav pride march tho.
