  1. I tried to say the poem out loud, got half way through and gave up!
  2. Haha - my kids hate the 'I'll give you something to cry for' threat. Works a treat tho.
  3. it depends how big your head is
  4. A johnnie where I come from is made of rubber and put on an altogether different head.
  5. Something you put on your headie?
  6. Haha - Azul that's class!
  7. In Brighton there was nearly a riot of middle class parents when they wanted to introduce a raffle for school places! I think that would be a great idea cos then all schools would be improved cos none of the pushy middle class parents could allow their little Joshua or Jemmima to go to a crap school. Great idea. Does anyone know if they actually implemented the raffle in Brighton?
  8. Once you are rejected for grammar school you're stuck in a secondary modern. with streaming if you are a late developer you still have a chance to move up to the top classes. We had a lot of people come up to the top classes a couple of years into secondary school. With the grammar school system they would not have had that chance.
  9. I went to a mixed comprehensive on a big council estate in Birkenhead. I got 6 o'levels and 2 CSE's and my brother got 8 o'levels without much effort and lots of psychotropic substances. A mate of mine who actually bothered doing homework and revision got 10 grade A O'levels and 4 A's at A level at this hard as nails comprehensive. We had a few really dedicated teachers who rammed knowledge down our throats whether we liked it or not! It was heavily streamed with twice yearly assessments to see what class you should be in, so being in the top classes probably helped, but it was a good example of how comprehensive education can work.
  10. Maybe cos you're a dried up prune who wouldn't know how to enjoy herself if her life depended on it Louisa.
  11. Haha - I'm on Liz's side cos I hate when people correct me grammer - reminds me of me mum.
  12. Haha my thought exactly! Sounds like en masse they may a bit of a nightmare!
  13. I am attracted by fit guys bodies and I can't help it - they just spark me off. I have been with women, but for me it's rare to get the same level of spark from a woman that I get from a man. In fact I can only remember one woman that ever got me going in the same way but that was because she was tecnically good and wanted to do me rather than be done! (yes I'm selfish!) But for visual stimulation it's always fit, young guys that get me going, but what happens when we get old? How do old people still get excited with their partner if their partner is the same age as them? If two unattractive old people still get off, isn't that more about the soul than than physical that's getting them going? So if that's what they find attractive, then arguably it wouldn't matter what physical sex the person was too because it's the soul of that person that is attractive. Also talking about straight guys who are a bit gay - my ex-husband was partial to a bit of strap-on action and I was into heavy duty weight training at the time, so what does being shagged by his butch missus make him?
  14. Ok i'll excercise my right to buy first then - is that ok?
  15. SteveT - doesn't that depend on what you do for a living? I didn't expect to enjoy my job as much as I do - it's turned a lover of lazing around chatting rubbish to my mates all day, into a workaholic within a few months! The adrenaline buzz from getting emergency injunctions 2 hours before a client is due to be deported and the lows when you fight like a lion but still lose a case are totally addictive and suit my bipolar, obsessive personality to a T!! Plus the buzz you get when new House of Lords cases mean you can win the appeal is great. I love the House of Lords Judges and the Court of Appeal are pretty cool too - they save our bacon on more than a few occasions. Never do a job you don't like - unless you really have no choice because you couldn't eat or something. Life is too short to spend most of it waiting for the bits of time you get off from your job.
  16. It is a bit wierd knowing someone is doing stuff like that - but I understand what Loz said, what do you think he's going to do with the film? Do peados use it to get obsessed with a particular kid or something? I'd probably have told him to eff off. I think I might have even been a bit worried that he'd start following my kid around or something, but I'm not sure if filming the kids would make it any easier to get hold of them. Unless it's a kind of snatch to order thing going on where the other peados view before they buy. Dunno - I find it all a bit depressing being paranoid, but I'd have had a go at him because he may not have just been a harmless perv.
  17. I've never had a credit card, don't have a mortgage, don't buy anything unless I can pay for it there and then but I do have about 6 different bank accounts. A high interest kids savings account (will have to spend that before my 9 yr old get much bigger!), a mini-isa and 4 current accounts that I use according to who gives me the best interest on my meagre dough. I'm hoping in the near future to be able to save enough money to buy a wedge of land with some kind of house on, next to my brother's farm in France. I don't want a mortgage, so any money I do save needs to be somewhere secure. That's all I'm worried about. I don't give a toss about the latest flat screen TV or other useless crap other people spend their money or credit on, all I want is to buy some land so at least my family won't starve when the shit really hits the fan.
  18. Never had any reason to swot up on financial matters before. Still don't really, but I live in hope.
  19. But being called 'whitey' in Jamaica was jarring.
  20. I young black guy hung out of the window of his car the other day and shouted 'nice arse for a white girl' to me. I was strangely unoffended.
  21. I just hate the blatant attempt at brainwashing by using humour to convey a slimy message. Most artists don't give a shit about copying - it's the big corporations pushing this.
  22. Move to France! They allow you to have quite an arsenal - Italy is even more generous - but then they are all a bit right wing for my taste.
