  1. Well tomorrow when I return from work I will find out if my complaint has been addressed. Will I have any letters in my box? If so will the letters actually be mine. Or will it be that I have no post. Let's wait and see. I will let you all know when I get home tomorrow... Tomorrow, tomorrow, I'd love to have some post tomorrow..... Tomorrow's a day away........
  2. Thank you Geh. It is horrible when your parking fine goes up before it arrives. It has happened here and we have missed VIP medical appointments. The contacts are not very attractive now as with all newbie contracts. But they don't seem to recruiting new staff just shoving existing staff around. Maybe that's their version of recycling. Reuse Redeploy Recycle. But don't actually employ more people. High turn over low paid, uncared for existing staff. Creates a recipe for 3rd class service. When I do get post I often have to spend a good half hour taking post to the correct properties. Maybe I should ask them to pay me for my time. I do a better job than they do.
  3. The post is only focussed on parcels so maybe I should ask for all post to be sent via a box. It would probably be cheaper to send a letter in a parcel that is tracked rather than pay 10.00 for a letter to be sent recorded delivery 🚚 🚚 🚚
  4. The post office is lying - as they are telling you that couldn't deliver. This means that they will avoid a fine for late delivery. I would be fuming too. But Thanks again I have complained maybe my mail could arrive B4 Christmas πŸŽ„ 🎁 not a parcel but a letter. I sent a letter that was important 1st class recorded delivery it cost me nearly Β£10.00 it was very important so I had to pay up. We could all go to the sorting office and sort our own mail. It would probably be quicker and more efficient.
  5. Wow you jogged my memory about the royal dogs. I have a bull breed and although I πŸ’• her I do get why others would not. She is always on her lead. She has been bitten and attacked by small dogs who have been on and off lead. She has never bitten back. I think all dogs should be kept on their lead unless they are in a specific designated dog exercise area. People should add back up measures accordingly. If you know your dog is aggressive keep it safely away from others. The legislation around dangerous dogs had been flimsy and back in mid 1980's when pitbulls started to appear it was the beginning of a new era in dog ownership. Which has brought us to this point with various XL breeds etc. I am very glad to hear that the police are now taking the issue of dog attacks on dogs very seriously.
  6. Well if you ain't old enough to get that reference what are you doing on EDF on a Saturday night LOL. No offence meant.
  7. Robocop Thank you so much for the brilliant news. Let's hope they get the owner now.
  8. I just called and they lodged a complaint as Sue on this forum suggested. So I hope I might get some post soon
  9. I was expecting 2 very important letters and neither have arrived yet. Someone who works at the post office told me that parcels are the priority because they will be fined if they are delivered late but normal post isn't tracked so no fines occur. Does anyone know where our local sorting office is please
  10. Ohhh My Gosh. I can not say how awfully deeply saddened I am to hear and see the state of your beloved little girl. My heart literally breaks for her and all of you πŸ’” πŸ’” πŸ’” πŸ’” πŸ’”. I can not imagine the sheer horror. I wish her and you the very best recovery. I know the love you have for her will make such a huge difference on her journey back to good health physically and mentally. Please if you are able could you add anymore details about the dogs involved.
  11. One very loved puss
  12. Brilliant news.
  13. Why do they bother all the regular dog walkers and park users will already know about this behaviour.
  14. Well if the survey concerns lazy residents and dirty bins. I get it as some streets like vicarage grove SE5 are really dirty and very unpleasant to walk along
  15. So this thread has run out of legs.
  16. Brilliant way to deal with a ignorant individual. LOL. The sign is quite simple a 3 year old could understand it. The fact is she shouldn't have been in there in the first place. I have dogs and live them dearly. Not everyone likes dogs. I don't like everyone else's dogs running around me and off the lead barking and running at my dogs who are on their lead.
  17. Yeap make contact with Halifax head office. You never know if there is more than one staff member involved in a branch. Pretty brazen to do this. It will probably be something that they are doing quite often
  18. It isn't about the need of pets. It is all about the behaviour of pet owners.
  19. Post that isn't tracked won't be a priority. There are no fines issued to the postal service for failing to deliver ordinary letters. So until the policy changes general letters will be late. Post office staff are not being given great contracts anymore and they often being pushed to the maximum for not a great deal. But getting letters late does cause issues.
  20. LOL up the Victor Meldrew /. Some of us ain't that old yet. But would really like to enjoy our daily constitutionals without other people's unleashed unruly animals spoiling our right to be responsible citizens who abide by the blinking signs. It really does spoil things for others. And shows no consideration for others.
  21. And most parts of the park have keep dogs on a lead signs. Not everyone one wants to be bothered by other people's dog. Not every dog wants to be bothered by other dogs.
  22. I wonder would people be able to understand any warning signs about 🐺🐺🐺 The people with free running dogs are always the first to complain when a dog on a lead barks back at their precious dog. Especially when the dog on the lead is a large dog. The poor dog was literally minding their own business walking along whilst the other dogs take turns to ambush them. So the wolves could be a brilliant idea. As these dogs could jump into ambush the wolves. And then well behaved dogs on a leash and responsible dog ( or those who can understand text and pictorial information) owners could walk along in peace. And also enjoy the local public parks.
  23. This is not unusual. The entire park is full of dogs off the lead so when people try to be responsible dog owners and exercise their dogs on the lead it is totally impossible. As the other dogs constantly run up to, bark and irritate the dogs on the leads and stupid owners don't do anything to prevent them. I thought people who live in Dulwich might have been able to read, understand and follow simple signs with words and pictorial instructions. But they obviously can not. The rules are there for a reason but obviously do not apply to when it suits people.
  24. Thank you for sharing. We need to keep this type of thread running so all can see and be aware.
