  1. I as a woman do not choose accept any violence against myself or my family. I do not believe in a race to the very bottom! It is OK to do more? YES We can all quote stuff but it doesn't take away the pain, fear or legacy of violence. Stats will always say what ever they are meant to say.
  2. Not a huge fan of of Police. The Met being the only ones I have ever had any dealings with. We have all heard the headlines of the nasty rotten backsides in the force. But who else would I call for help if needed it?
  3. Whilst I get your valid view and where you are coming from and Dulwich feels really safe. I don't think violent incidents are so rare in all parts of London and beyond.
  4. I would have been petrified. It seems that the police should be able to find him / hopefully B4 he does even more serious damage to someone. From the other posts he is targeting women ATM.
  5. It is so scary. It could have been anyone of us. I hope the lady can find her inner strength and heal. The wicked man should be locked up for a very long time.
  6. Another fantastic job Rod. My patio is still going strong!
  7. Probably true. Maybe we should all get dash cams. I would be really scared if this happened to me.
  8. It would cost so much now. But pay off for us in the long run. Thatcher and her privatisation of public services. It is a total disaster
  9. Hi is this still available please. If so I could collect this weekend Thanks Carolyn
  10. These guys seem to 'pick' who they pick on. They are very unpleasant and usually choose woman drivers - with children in the car if they can. Have any men had this happen to them?
  11. Unfortunately it goes back to investment and priorities. Again as we know water and power should not be for profit. The guys on the ground are doing their best. But the desire to pay huge dividends to stake holders/CEOs often drives the internal economy in private companies. It's a fast buck at our expense. Water bills have gone up by about 40%in one year. It is crazy.
  12. It's a disgrace. Privatisation of public companies. Thanks to Thatcher creating a false economy and fake wealth that never really existed. Now we are all paying the price big time. Lack of investment and lack of planning etc grrrr
  13. I think you have been very kind towards the the council. And even kinder in your description of Peckham High Street (LOL). Peckham High Street Rye Lane is awful. I know it is a very controversial opinion but I am happy that some parts are going to developed and re built. The dirty pavements, graffiti shops that put their stock all over pavements and racing cyclists make it not an enjoyable place to be in. In the old days any business would have to keep their premises in good order. I am much happier being near a simple bit of over greenery or weed. It is much cleaner and feels safer to be next to. Some parts of Peckham are plagued by Zombie like people who have fallen prey to substance abuse. And I don't see the council putting much effort into helping these poor lost souls.
  14. LOL. Lazy ass people who choose to litter!!!! Really greenery does not cause anti social behaviour. But I gotta say thanks for the giggle. You are so on point. How can we work as a collective to make "The establishment move forward". Net 0 is coming in fast. And the only way forward is for everyone to work together
  15. Well I went there after work today..There wasn't any. I wondered why someone would have so many mini blenders free. But rest assured it was a waste of time.
  16. Hi Sue, Your garden sounds like a labour of love And a place you love be in. 🍀
  17. I have no agenda just a simple response expressing my thoughts and experience.
  18. It wouldn't surprise me at all. The council used to spray the pavements all the time b4 lockdown. They are probably doing it again.
  19. The council are really backward in their approach to management of grounds etc. They will cut grass and mow through wild flowers / it seems continue to use pesticides according to some observations posted here. Whilst having green policies food recycling etc blocking roads installing Bill n Ben flower pots in roads causing all sorts of heavy traffic in certain roads. And installing new LED lights etc when we have adequate functioning lights already. The impact on wildlife and quality of life for all is devastating.
  20. Rod has over 30 years experience in all types of pointing including tuck pointing, Stone and brick restoration, rendering and paving work. Etc He understands structural integrity . If you have any enquiries please call Rod 07739180197.
  21. It could be a brilliant idea. For local traders.
  22. Maybe part of the agreement for dropped kerb and parking should be related to us providing natural habitat for nature. As individual applicants. Not to be policed but as a nod to nature
