Dulwich Park dog in nature area
Happyme5 replied to greenspace's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Why do they bother all the regular dog walkers and park users will already know about this behaviour. -
Southwark council survey on bins on the street
Happyme5 replied to trinidad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Well if the survey concerns lazy residents and dirty bins. I get it as some streets like vicarage grove SE5 are really dirty and very unpleasant to walk along -

Brilliant way to deal with a ignorant individual. LOL. The sign is quite simple a 3 year old could understand it. The fact is she shouldn't have been in there in the first place. I have dogs and live them dearly. Not everyone likes dogs. I don't like everyone else's dogs running around me and off the lead barking and running at my dogs who are on their lead. -

It isn't about the need of pets. It is all about the behaviour of pet owners. -
Royal Mail - late deliveries - what is happening?
Happyme5 replied to Borderlands's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Post that isn't tracked won't be a priority. There are no fines issued to the postal service for failing to deliver ordinary letters. So until the policy changes general letters will be late. Post office staff are not being given great contracts anymore and they often being pushed to the maximum for not a great deal. But getting letters late does cause issues. -

LOL up the Victor Meldrew /. Some of us ain't that old yet. But would really like to enjoy our daily constitutionals without other people's unleashed unruly animals spoiling our right to be responsible citizens who abide by the blinking signs. It really does spoil things for others. And shows no consideration for others. -

And most parts of the park have keep dogs on a lead signs. Not everyone one wants to be bothered by other people's dog. Not every dog wants to be bothered by other dogs. -
Dulwich Park dog in nature area

I wonder would people be able to understand any warning signs about 🐺🐺🐺 The people with free running dogs are always the first to complain when a dog on a lead barks back at their precious dog. Especially when the dog on the lead is a large dog. The poor dog was literally minding their own business walking along whilst the other dogs take turns to ambush them. So the wolves could be a brilliant idea. As these dogs could jump into ambush the wolves. And then well behaved dogs on a leash and responsible dog ( or those who can understand text and pictorial information) owners could walk along in peace. And also enjoy the local public parks. -
Dulwich Park dog in nature area
Happyme5 replied to greenspace's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
This is not unusual. The entire park is full of dogs off the lead so when people try to be responsible dog owners and exercise their dogs on the lead it is totally impossible. As the other dogs constantly run up to, bark and irritate the dogs on the leads and stupid owners don't do anything to prevent them. I thought people who live in Dulwich might have been able to read, understand and follow simple signs with words and pictorial instructions. But they obviously can not. The rules are there for a reason but obviously do not apply to when it suits people. -

We are in "one of UK's best places to live" 🤣
Happyme5 replied to Sue's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
LOL. Don't remember that particular pub or quiz. But I do remember how much some pubs did for their community. Not always profit focussed. Having roast potatoes and fresh sea food every Sunday at The L&B in Queens Rd Peckham. Hit pancakes on Shrove Tuesday/Gammon n Mash etc. All free for regulars. Was fun times Soz not an East Dulwich Pub. But the pubs where all similar back in the day. -

Hi Pugwash, It's crazy how much we take for granted now. I can't imagine another family walking through my house to get out to the toilet. Or even going out side to use my own toilet. Look what happened in COVID. It is brilliant to hear about the not so distant way of London life. I remember not having any central heating and we had a tiny toilet downstairs next to the kitchen when I lived in SE23 / 1970s I think we had a gas fire in the living room. When I went to Ireland as a toddler I asked why my Auntie was burning stones Thanks for sharing. -

LoL. Megan's food is OK. But I admit the 20% service charge is ridiculous especially when I have been there only twice. Both times we had to order at the counter. It was difficult to get a tap water etc. was told by the staff in female toilets it's alright you can go a wee when they were having a good old chat in the very small toilets. GOSH. Where did that rant come from. -

Brilliant response to the whole incident. I hope that Ellie Reeves can offer you and us some support. Maybe a good one to ask at PM's questions.... -

Ohh Alison. It is so awful. I am glad you are not hurt. There aren't any words really that you could use on a public forum to describe the true feelings and thoughts that I and others all have. I guess you didn't have any dash cam footage. On the slightest off chance it is possible that anyone has video doorbell footage. It is beyond a joke. The next thing it will be a parked car that blame..... Could you describe the model type of moped driver etc. I wonder do know if it is registered locally. Stupid question I suppose. How would we know and what good would knowing do. Just glad you are OK. Please do report this to whoever you can local MP and other in government. Try to get this out forward as a serious issue. Some other people on this forum have made some great responses and recommended a good course of action. Take care.
