I think you have been very kind towards the the council. And even kinder in your description of Peckham High Street (LOL). Peckham High Street Rye Lane is awful. I know it is a very controversial opinion but I am happy that some parts are going to developed and re built. The dirty pavements, graffiti shops that put their stock all over pavements and racing cyclists make it not an enjoyable place to be in. In the old days any business would have to keep their premises in good order. I am much happier being near a simple bit of over greenery or weed. It is much cleaner and feels safer to be next to. Some parts of Peckham are plagued by Zombie like people who have fallen prey to substance abuse. And I don't see the council putting much effort into helping these poor lost souls.

LOL. Lazy ass people who choose to litter!!!! Really greenery does not cause anti social behaviour. But I gotta say thanks for the giggle. You are so on point. How can we work as a collective to make "The establishment move forward". Net 0 is coming in fast. And the only way forward is for everyone to work together

I have no agenda just a simple response expressing my thoughts and experience.

It wouldn't surprise me at all. The council used to spray the pavements all the time b4 lockdown. They are probably doing it again.

The council are really backward in their approach to management of grounds etc. They will cut grass and mow through wild flowers / it seems continue to use pesticides according to some observations posted here. Whilst having green policies food recycling etc blocking roads installing Bill n Ben flower pots in roads causing all sorts of heavy traffic in certain roads. And installing new LED lights etc when we have adequate functioning lights already. The impact on wildlife and quality of life for all is devastating.

Indoor market in East Dulwich - Would you be interested?
Happyme5 replied to radnrach's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It could be a brilliant idea. For local traders. -
Maybe part of the agreement for dropped kerb and parking should be related to us providing natural habitat for nature. As individual applicants. Not to be policed but as a nod to nature

Royal Mail - late deliveries - what is happening?
Happyme5 replied to Borderlands's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We only get 1 delivery a week here just around the corner. -
Ohh I am not sure. Maybe you have seen the wood through the trees. , 🌴

It has been very dry maybe that affects trees and their roots / the recent works repairing the bridge could contribute.

These charity collectors are often classed as chuggers. It can be scandalous that the charity/admin may keep a huge percentage of your donations and a tiny percentage is actually given to the charity. I can not speak for individual collectors - but it common practice. -
LOL Sue, I agree with BNP description but the ex part is debatable........

Southwark consultation on Peckham gyratory
Happyme5 replied to Marguerita98's topic in Roads & Transport
I just don't think more "cycle lanes" are the answer. Better planning and forward thinking with proper planning / as I have said and legislation that makes us all as safe is needed. Individual so called road improvements don't work for anyone. Eventually we will all be forced to use public transport or cycle. Which really does not work for everyone. -
I am sure what the new plan is but who knows how the postal service will work from here onwards

It is simply my opinion that I feel is an important view in planning road development. Legislation can be used in a positive way to protect all. We all deserve to be safe 🙏
