  1. Hm... Mudchute.
  2. This may help. Then again it may not. http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/clue/article/
  3. I think I'm blocked. I thought there was no blocking. Are we allowing blocking? I'm blocked!
  4. My daughter goes to that nursery, and I'm quite surprised to hear that the medical centre hadn't informed them about their plans. It could be that this new service won't cause any problems, but the potential for them is there and the way the medical centre seems to have conducted itself doesn't fill me with confidence. I think we do need an open dialogue about this, and if that means opposing the development until we can have one then I'd support that. I'm not necessarily opposed to the development outright, but I would like the chance to make a properly informed decision one way or the other. [Edited once because I've had a bit of a think and calmed down a little.]
  5. The one that was Mogul Spice?
  6. And light-grey slip-ons? Please say you'll have light-grey slip-ons, with tassles and quite pointy toes.
  7. Whoever sells the puppies will have to spend a fair bit of money and time caring for them before they're old enough to head on to a good home. Which is obviously a better solution for all concerned than a sack and a river. One way of looking at it could be that the buyer is part-funding this process. After all, you have to pay to get a puppy (or kitten) from Battersea or similar places for much the same reason. (And Battersea do a great job, btw. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a pet.)

Cheers! Happy birthday!>:D< So will I, Jah. I've done all my deejaying already - all it'll take on the night is plugging in and hitting play. :)) I've chosen 18 songs, which iTunes tells me will last exactly one hour.
  11. If it was anything like the last meal I had at the Coriander, then it was still overpriced. Possibly the worst curry I've ever had in my entire life. (Bar one notable monstrosity from somewhere in Camberwell.) However, Keef says they're good and I trust his opinion, so perhaps they were just having a bad night that time. I used to live more or less opposite the Bombay Bicycle Club in Balham. It was quite poshed up in terms of presentation etc, but really not worth the money. I agree with James that we could really do with something other than yet another curry house.
  12. I must dig out my bling
  13. Great, little shuffle it is. I shall cram it full of assorted stuff this evening.
  14. How does it connect? Is it like a iPod dock sort of thing, or through a headphone size jack? Just wondering whether I can use my little shuffle instead of my big old iPod.
  15. Not quite, Bob. This one's more expensive. ;)
  16. Excellent! I usually only hear about consultation thingummies after the fact. Nice to get in on one while it's still going for a change.
  17. My windows are shockingly dirty
  18. There's a guy at the top of our road who has his own street party every day. Perhaps we should persuade the Mayor of Southwark to pay him a visit. Yours sounds lovely though, Polly D. (Word!) Where there cakes and such? And bunting? The last street party I was at was deep in the 1970s and such things were firmly part of the proceedings.
  19. Well, I too am glad that Tesco's didn't get the site. And good luck to ESPH, although you won't catch me in there at those prices, especially while there's no pool. I'll continue going to Beckenham for now (which is very nice, btw. No bog roll floating around). I'll probably look again if the second phase does come about and if the prices come down. But not until then.
  20. So I try to cut down
