  1. I meant Valve.
  2. I'd pay to see a film like the one you've just described, Mockers. Actual money. Probably using the right currency too.
  3. I half-watched that Michael Palin thing. I cringed when he flirted with the women and made sex noises on the fairground ride.
  4. I always want to add a second v to its name.
  5. Isn't that district nurses?
  6. I like Monkey Sandy and Pigsy! Just as well there wasn't a fourth though, or you'd have to remember how to spell tripitaka... or was it tritipaka... er... pritikapa?
  7. > I hotlunk it to it's wikipedia page I love that. Does it follow the sing/sang/sung pattern of vowel shifts? Link, lank, lunk: lovely.
  8. How about Haart, Bushells and Foxtons?
  9. She's back, sauntered in as if nothing had happened at all. Hope she hasn't got knocked up.
  10. Thanks Se?or Piers and Ko. She'll probably be fine. I wouldn't be worried except she's so young, and it's her first time out and all. (Am having a nasty, sneaking feeling that I may well be saying the exact same thing about my daughters in a few years' time!)
  11. Mrs Ant will love that.
  12. That bloody song has been stuck in my head all day thanks to this thread. You may call it collateral damage. I call it musical terrorism.
  13. This shed... would it have internet access?
  14. Probably best. I hear the West Indies are nice this time of year.
  15. Another in the EDF's fine tradition of missing cat posts: Our kitten's escaped. She's never been out before. She's had her jabs and is just about old enough, but hasn't been neutered yet. I'm not overly worried yet, as it's not been all that long and she'll probably come back when she gets hungry. But given that she's so young, I thought I'd just ask people to keep an eye out for her. She's called Mog, but seems to respond best when she's called Mogmog. (Cats eh? Always have to do things their own way.) We're at the library end of Landells Road and she went off through the gardens to towards Crystal Palace Road. She has a red collar with a small bell and a small brass tag on it. The tag has our phone number on one side and says 'microchipped' on the other (cos she is). If anyone does find her, could they please call us? She's a little bit bigger now than she was when I took this pic:
  16. I've eaten there a few times. The standard has varied, it was bad on days when they were obviously busier than they'd bargained for, but on the whole I'd say it was fairly good.
  17. I wouldn't have put my floor down until after I'd decided to replace the boiler.
  18. Are they actually trying to block it, though, or just ensure that proper consultation was held? I've not been following too closely, but I assumed it was the latter. Or are you talking about the petitions in Macey's? (And are they unrelated to BARA/this thread?) Sorry, getting a little confused here.
  19. Since early 2003. If space wasn't an issue I think I'd stay put for good, but with house prices as they are I'm not so sure. :(
  20. Fine posts Nutty, Bawdy and Ko. :)
  21. As soon as I saw the thread title I knew it would be you. :)
  22. Ant

I've only been once. It seemed fine when I was there. Not as good as the Palmerston, perhaps, but pretty decent.
  23. I can handle it.
  24. It was a great night - thanks Mark! - and as ever a real pleasure to meet lots of new people.
  25. Ha, yeh, 'Djibouti'. Like that's a real country.
