  7. That's my neck of the woods. I've put the ref number in my phone and will keep an eye out. Let's hope they get caught soon before they do any more damage.
  8. Child benefit, plus a little extra as the youngest is disabled. Not that much though. It just about pays for travel to all the physio, hospital appointments etc.
  9. I've always found France friendly. Helps that I can speak French, of course. Norn Iron is very friendly. I'm sure it's the same down in the ROI, but I've never actually been so can't say.

Practice is a noun and practise is a verb. In the US they use -ice for both.

I'm always getting bear/bare wrong. Not that that's got anything to do with it, but there you go. edit: in the verb/adjective form that is. I'm OK on the Yogi type noun.

  13. > You don't want to drop to a 2:1 just for poor spelling and grammar now do you. Question mark, old chap. (Sorry! As you know, it can be hard to resist.)

    Argh! The puns! They burn!
  15. Ming who? Surely there was a lot more lacking in Ming than youth.

  17. I'm only 12, you know.
  18. I've heard that too Asset, but I seem to remember there were also questions about how valid that stat is. Something about bendy buses generally being on much busier routes where collisions are more likely whatever the vehicle. Not that I can remember enough about who said what to make a judgement either way. Perhaps someone else can recall more than me.
  19. Really to sorry to hear about this Polly D - or rather C. Hope it hasn't shaken you up too much.
  20. Maybe we should produce and market t-shirts with instructions on them, along the lines of: Twice, this side first (and then an arrow denoting the appropriate cheek).
  21. > we should all wear disposable polythene mouth covers. Well, it takes all sorts I suppose. What would it do to one's carbon footprint though?
  22. Pfeh - much less fun.

Madam, I am Adam. Hang about, that's not right. How does it go? Anyone else remember?
  24. It's a perfectly fair question. Some people want to drink without kids about - I'd prefer they asked which pubs are kid free and went there rather then going to bekidded pubs and moaning. (I have kids, btw, and often take them out to pubs for lunch.)
  25. Could we turn their corpses into biodiesel, d'you think?
