  1. I've just emailed her so hopefully she'll be in touch with you soon!
  2. If you're happy with any school in the Dulwich area and are within the catchment then it might be easier to state which schools you're closest to so you can get specific feedback, e.g. we're on Overhill Road and would only get into Goodrich or Horniman on closest school, so any opinions on other schools are pretty academic!
  3. Hi tyor You might be better to put this into the Family Room as lots of school discussions there. However, re state schools the main determining factor will be distance from school, regardless of what your preference might be, so might help to indicate which state schools you're closest to... you'll then get opinions from people whose kids are at those schools.
  4. Depends where you are - I believe there will be at least one posse of small witches (aged about 6 and about 4) in the Dunstans Road vicinity from about 5ish...
  5. If it's just to make the bandages red can you use ketchup? Maybe thinned with water if too gloopy...
  6. The Snowman at the Peacock theatre is lovely, and a great introduction to ballet without being full of tutus! Also good as can read book first so she knows what is going on. Took daughter when 4 first time and there were loads smaller in the theatre. Runs to under 2 hours including interval so not too long. Pm if any other questions. Becca
  7. A friend of mine stored hers in a big old sheet which she put down on the floor, opened up and then the lego was played with on the sheet. When you've finished you just gather up the corners of the sheet and secure somehow. Involves the least amount of picking up...
  8. Goodrich is run by Gumboots who also do after school care in ?Darrell Road community centre? I think. I think Gumboots is private, but don't know for sure - you can find them via google. No idea of second child cost - sorry.
  9. I think Goodrich afterschool club is ?9 for 3.30-6 and our child minder charges ?12 for the same time period.
  10. Hi Zoe. I've got a rear mounted seat which am planning to sell. However haven't taken fittings off my bike yet so you're welcome to come and try it. We had it since daughter was about 9 months and it was great. Pm me if you prefer. Becca
  11. Damn, was going to suggest lollipops! Am not keen on sweets generally but they worked a treat for our little one when flying. Hope you find a solution...
  12. Web address http://www.dulwichggclub.com/default.html if anyone is interested. Becca
  13. I think (sure buggy experts will correct me if wrong) that the Triumph seat folds flat (i.e. suitable from birth) while the Quest doesn't so only suitable from 6 months, but could be wrong. We loved our Maclaren - was a great buggy.
  14. For others' info, this hasn't yet started back because (I think) they're either trying to get a new teacher or wait for the previous one to come back from maternity leave. will post again when they email to say classes starting up again. Becca
  15. Try Tereasa West - she makes lovely cakes and is very local. Don't have her mobile no but have asked her to read this and contact you! Her email is [email protected]
  16. Might be worth phoning a store - sure I've seen them in M&S in Bromley, though admittedly not recently - good luck!
  17. Bias cut dresses are quite forgiving as well - Monsoon sometimes have some nice ones.
  18. This book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Good-Night-York-World-Books/dp/0977797937/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1314373227&sr=1-3 is also lovely for little ones - might be nice for cheeky S as there will be things he recognises when you get there.
  19. It used to be safe walking distance but changed 2 years ago to as the crow flies.
  20. Not sure exactly what they use to measure, though if you search on here for school admissions threads I think it might be in one of those - possibly posted by fuschia. Is measured as the crow flies. Hope that helps
  21. I think it's speech and language therapy
  22. Can't you order online from Ikea and get them to deliver - wouldn't that be cheaper than man with van?
  23. Thank you! Will see if I can find somewhere to try on a pair then, and return these for a smaller size. That's a relief to know - felt like a fool taking them out of the box only to find that they're ginormous!
  24. OK, really daft question. I've just bought some Birkenstocks on line, and having arrived, they seem massive overall, but the bumps under my toes seem in about the right place. Ordered a 39 (UK6) but despite having Googled it beforehand am not sure if what I think is a 39 and what Europe is a 39 are the same thing? don't want to send them back if I've actually got the right size and they're just a bit bigger than my current sandals. Anyone know? Thanks!
