  1. No apology to Sean there keef? As it goes I've a soft spot for Arsenal when firstly they started playing good football and secondly a friend of mine kept taking me to Highbury a few years back and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the fans were a friendly bunch happy to have a hammer in their midst (neutral games though). Smug and happy to gloat and predict world domination off the back of a couple of good results though? absobloodylutely they were, so will back you up on that keef*. Man U fans annoy me for the same reason, and chelsea fans should know better, but I'm guessing most of the insufferable ones are probably fair weather glory hunters. Incidentally I have every right to be a Real Madrid fan, but they're even worse than all of the above put together, so I keep an eye out for Atletico's results, which are as reassuringly rubbish as West Ham's ;) Anna has a point about your tone atila, which I might add has improved dramatically since you first came onto the forum, but you can still be a quick to anger. Mind you, I have (usually hungover) days like that, so I can appreciate it happens. *not all of them were of course, some know what a little humility is.

  3. I used to think my dad was Elvis, but I haven't told him that yet. I haven't told my dad either.
  4. good stuff snorky. I liked this one, sort of edwardian hoodies? *hope you don't mind my taking the liberty of adding the photo to your post*
  5. Oh, plus went to the Hamlets to watch a dreadful encounter with Walton Casuals. Perfect conditions and 9 balls out of the ground (?!?!?!?) reflects what can politely be called a 'tendency to hoof'. Past Dulwich sides have tried to play football even when they've been comedy and/or rubbish, so this was a pretty depressing display. 1 - 1 btw, and here's onionbag's match review.
  6. Much like the other draws, it was a bit gutting to lose the lead in the 93rd minute, but a totally fair result.
  7. anybody know who this little fella is? I've not spotted his like before.
  8. Sounds like we're pretty much all singing from the same hymn sheet. Although I can rarely hold a note ;)
  9. ever the peace maker sean :) nice one.
  10. WTF atila? Talk about putting words into my mouth!!! No, no different if it had been one of our own, whatever the heck that means, my being a spaniard, where it was state policy briefly to hire moroccan mercenaries to gun down 'basque separatists' (read innocent people), a shameful stain on that country the should have toppled the government when it came to light. This was a shitty operation that went wrong and an attempted cover up ensued. I've said that was wrong and the man should go, what more do you want? I'd pick fights when they occur mate, don't make them up. "he looked nervous, apparently." and by god you're swallowing the lies that was part of the cover story!!
  11. Probably chinese lanterns, usually after a wedding. I put up some youtube footage on here somewhere a few months back after a similar discussion. Top post buzzard :))
  12. "and put the poor mans family out of their misery" my god, when will it end? I have to say I thought it somewhat hypocritical of the brazilian authorities to criticise; as terrible as this extrajudicial execution was, it was f**k-up*, and a pretty unusual one at that; in Brazil death squads are police policy. *Totally agree with Sean, it was the cover up that stunk, bad mistakes happen and hopefully we learn from them, but to come out with stuff about heavy coats, wires, unusual behaviour etc, lies, and he should walk.
  13. That's a futureheads lyric, wrong thread. [and i know exactly what you mean]
  14. Yeah, a swathe of Camden has been declared likewise.
  15. Blimey it really is surreal new thread day today isn't it!!
  16. "She will go away and none of us have to hear about her." Isn't that rather the point, that she isn't? I wish the same of Jade all the time, but so far no luck. No there's a woman who has survived several attacks by the press, you have to take your hat off* to her for her thick skin. *and decapitate her with it, odd job stylee.
  17. "And is there sexism involved here?" Naa, it could be Michael Barrymore, same thing. Court publicity and the kid gloves come off when the press scents blood (quite literally in his case of course). Do yourself a favour Mills, don't go on GMTV, don't go to the press, don't go on stupid reality tv shows, shut up and try and recover some dignity.
  18. Sean basically sums it all up perfectly. Live by the sword.... For the record I felt the same way about Di and Charles, and whatever the truth maybe about the McCanns they were always playing with fire doing what they were doing and I predicted the current situation a long time ago. As Mike Skinner said, he felt sorry for the people who were always in the press, being photographed coming out of clubs in a bad state, making arses of themselves, being hounded by the paparazzi, and then realised that he never went to those clubs, took just as much booze and drugs and never made the papers. It's a choice. Sorry, Nay.
  19. That's more disturbing than PGC's Clive Dunn dream!! What about whatsername, the first Leslie in Brush Strokes, she may have kicked it all off for me. and just for good measure
  20. "I think I can trace my interest back to Judi Trott in 'Robin of Sherwood'" Ahumnhumna!!!
  21. I'll paint the words a simple wish For peace of mind and happiness
  22. yaaay, great idea. Bringing a whole new creepy element to the forum. Doesn't tingawee read this? or is she the new redhead? Aaaaaaaaah
  23. "pretentious air about it where people are looking around more than at the people they are there with" Isn't that just leching rather than pretentious?
  24. and so I checked all the registered historical facts
  25. Coz the drugs don?t work, if I had to fall on my head every night of the week it's gonna be my fault, no one else.
