  1. Char1ie, does "Rude and obnoxious staff in the deli made me vow to never return." refer to Green & Blue or the East Dulwich Deli over the road. It's not entirely clear. If it's the latter then I'll dig out the thread where people complained of the bad service. The owner handled himself less adroitly than Kate from Green & Blue, but by all accounts the service has improved a lot since then. And for the record Green & Blue is great, never really put a foot wrong in my eyes.
  2. Blimey, I'm still recovering from the last one ;)
  3. More of them Sleeper - Nice Guy Eddie
  4. sorry It's the old sub in me, difficult to control sometimes. Aaaanyway more cuties from the past with legs, but without the legs Salad - Drink the Elixir
  5. > Wether (sic) she will have the legs to sustain a career I'm not sure Ha ha, I thought you were making a commentary about today's over emphasis on looks over talent blah blah before I got what you were saying. For the record I think she's much better looking than you girls aloud types anyway, were it to matter, or summink
  6. Cool, fun, cute and a jaunty little tune too. A little over the top on the glo'al stops vo. "I canno' be bovvad wiv vis" well actually I can. Tried this which is great Kate Nash - birds (live) Don't know why it reminded me of this lady as they're not very similar, except it's a girl on stage singing. Martha Tilston - Milkmaid
  7. That's fine Keef, I probably am being a it of a snob. As it goes I did give the dark materials stuff a go, so I'm probably a hypocrite as well as a snob ;) For the record, it was at best Ok. There certainly seemed to be more ideas bouncing around in them, but they ended up just getting tedious no matter how partial I may be to anti-religious propaganda (Flying Spaghetti Monster not included).
  8. Call it snobbery if you will, I just figure life's too short to waste on the 1 billion words* that the six books comprise. P J Heather's fall of the Roman Empire, interesting; May edition of Razzle, interesting; Harry Potter and the cake bake of flim-flam, sh*t. *I may exaggerate juuust a tad.
  9. I'm in the JL Bob gang on this too. After years of getting irked by people commuting with kids books, but seeing no significant increase in proper book reading, someone finally persuaded me that I can't judge until I've tried it. I read the first one. It was a kids book. And not an especially good one at that, though I'm sure kids would love it. So no, no interest in reading any of the others, unless london becomes so dangerous that they'd make useful stab vests.
  10. I bumped into a non-forumite at the weekend who said he knew a few people up for it, i think it safe to say we shouldn't (touch wood) have a problem getting 11 together. A lot of interested parties.

  17. Point taken, no worries Smith. I for one am banished to the curs?d bedlam of North London during the day sadly. Buses will surely figure on the journey home, as will a gin & tonic :)
