  1. I should be along later, but could be closer to 10 as promised Mrs Mockney some sushi on her return from business trip. Ooh, and Mark's has asked if I could do a whip round that night with those who've pledged support for the forum tent, as he'll be away on his hols, if that's ok with those people. Don't worry, I won't run of to Rio with the loot (or more likely croydon)
  2. A few people have been digging around this one for a while and it seems it is privately owned by an absentee landlord who's proved impossible to track down in order to serve the compulsory purchase order that the doesn't seem overly interested in pursuing unless it can sell the land for development, or something on those lines. Private Eye have been exposing ruthless developers for years. Some of the bigger ones have been quite blatant about knocking down down grade II listed buildings and paying the fine in order to develop land as it's all factored into their profit margins.
  3. And by way of an apology for the Chas 'n Dave, or the Eldorado theme (I loved eldorado!!) I give you this thing of beauty Devics - a secret message to you
  4. Oh but it's so romantic. Even unrestored it's go to be better than yet more dull flats. I know I'm a champion of brownfield development, desperately trying to stem the stevenage tide, but I just love that building, restored or not. It can't ALL be about affordable housing, man cannot live on bread alone.
  5. Just for you then Shambles, a bunnyesque theme, believe me the links get more tenuous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntm1YfehK7U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhn_5LuDtIM
  6. Well it would seem bloggy types are less than enthused I guess it all still boils down to moderation policies. The sort of people willing to dish out death threats online aren't far removed from the idiots who threaten world cup referees and the like. They're not put off doing so by the law so a pretty picture in the corner won't stop them. That said, categorising a blog or forum so people can easily see where a site lies in the death threat - slanging match - polite - dull spectrum isn't such a bad idea.
  7. Hmm and the breakdown of 95 still doesn't cover my hypothetical lap dancing career.
  8. Sorry, we seemed to have slipped into a word association stream of consciousness thing. And I just happened to be eating my breakfast fruit ration when I read it :)
  9. Banana!!!
  10. Actually I think this is a first TimN, though it may have been mentioned in passing on other threads. I'm pretty much completely with you on this one. Service is oddly disinterested and as long as the food is warm it's pretty good. If of course you're lucky enough for it to turn up within half an hour of ordering it.
  11. Did I miss health? I'll admit it was a bit of a rush job. I'll set up a better one soon if people are still interested.
  12. I've not aware of any gay unfriendliness to speak of but theni don't really know any gay people in E Dulwich myself. There were at least 2 gay couples down the palmerston on saturday and they seemed pretty comfortable. There have been a couple of threads on this topic if you do a quick search. They might have better info than I'm qualified to give. Oh, and welcome to the neighbourhood :)
  13. Fair enough tomM. From what my step brother says it's pretty much de rigeur at uni these days. I had to make do with getting good and drunk down the union bar and making an arse of myself ;)
  14. That's so wrong. Time for a new petition methinks....
  15. They do seem to be mostly children though. Perhaps we should stick to our knitting circle
  16. With this fairwaether thread, i deflower...or something? Anyone up for a celebration of spring tomorrow?
  17. Cheers DM. Enjoy the bubbles. I'm off to the George as England actually seem to be threatening a decent go at the aussies!! :)
  18. Ha, yes, digg people are younger, godwin inclined slashdotters ;-P I think we should celebrate the Godwinned death of this discussion with a flickr gem i stumbled upon today. Gopher Porn
  19. Nope, I'm dulwich bound this easter. I love London during bank holiday weekends. It has a magical quality to it like a secret garden or something. Quiet pint and a dvd for the mocknies tonight.
  20. oops I think we've just crossed the Godwin's Law threshold (or reductio ad hitlerum). I'm surprised it lasted so long
  21. Hach? in Camden is the best I've witnessed. I realise it's a bit of a trek for those fortunate enough not to work there, but next time you take your teens to buy a pair of Doc Martins, it's well worth a pop in on Inverness St. http://www.londontown.com/LondonInformation/Restaurant/Hach/d525/
  22. Yes Nutty that's the one. I only spent 15 minutes on it, and you're only allowed 30 options. Bob, i think there are probably a lot of grey areas. For insance I'm really a lap dancer, is that artist, entertainment or retail or even advertising? We could make a better one and place it somewhere and get admin to lock it or something. Ant, loved 99, thought it was extra-terrestrial for a moment
  23. it works, but I forgot I.T. which rather embarrassingly is my job. I went for Media as I do it in a Media company at the moment.
  24. Bizarrely enough the Franklin lobster killer was linked to in the music room. It's sort of disturbing yet compelling in it's own way.
  25. Ha Ha, forgot IT! This may be harder than I thought
