  10. The Boots Parenting Club changing bag - it's free (it was this time last year and hopefully still is) and comes with a travel changing mat with it's own case (useful if there have been any accidents during a nappy change).
  11. That sort of selfish behaviour really gets my goat! All it takes is a little bit of consideration for others...sigh... Bet he was a parent with a sense of entitlement! ;-) ETA: the last statement was a joke, really just a joke (see the winking, smiley face), it may not be very funny but please don't start a debate over it!

  14. Appeal ASAP! I have appealed two parking tickets (not in this borough) online and had them both overturned. Be as factual as possible, stating the time you parked, the amount you paid and when you left. Also state if the parking ticket has any incorrect information then that may invalidate it. One parking ticket stated I was parked on a different road to where I had acutally parked and I assume that was why I was successful in my appeal, as otherwise I was at fault(!). I didn't have to send any evidence on either occassion. Good luck!

  18. Saw loads on sale in Asda, Old Kent Road - probably half price as the halloween outfit I got my daughter today was reduced!

When it arrived, the men said > they weren't down to reverse the doors and that > it should have been done in the factory. > Similarly, during the course of the numerous phone calls regarding the delivery of the washer dryer I had some customer service reps telling me that - it would be delivered directly from the manufacturer and they (the delivery guys from the manufacturer) would install/remove appliances, - whereas others said for installation and removal the appliance would need to be sent from the manufacturer to JL, who would then carrier out the extra service. In some ways, I'm glad it all went wrong with JL, as I was rapidly losing confidence in what they were saying. I managed to order the same washer dryer from another company on Thurs, which could have been delivered and installed the following day (I chose to have it delivered at the weekend free of charge) and it also came with a 5y manufacturer guarantee. Now, that's more like it!
  20. Got a no-quibble refund on my undelivered washer dryer, and rightly so. At the time I also told them I had paid for removal of old appliance and connection of the new one but on checking my statement I noticed they had failed to refund these. Cue ANOTHER phone call to them to get this sorted. I've had no problems in the actual shops, just their delivery...grrr...

  22. Rubbish rubbish rubbish John Lewis, indeed! I ordered a washer dryer 10 days ago, was told it will be delivered today and that I would be contacted on the previous day by the delivery company to give an estimated ETA. No phone call yesterday. So I phoned them yesterday afternoon and 8am this morning and was told on both occassions that delivery was still on for today. Called again at 3pm only to eventually find out that the item wasn't even in stock and wouldn't be until 10th Nov at the earliest. They were quick off the mark taking the payment from my account a week ago - are they even allowed to do that if they don't have the item in stock? :X

I no longer would 8-2 be an Arsenal fan, at least they have 1-6 of their last 7. - can't take the credit for the brilliance/crapness (take your pick) of that line. Feel a little better about our 5-0 defeat to Man City at the Lane.
  24. No problems with Sainsbury's so far (prob ordered from them up to 15 times) - always arrived on time and had no problems with the offers etc.
