    Dubai Expats

Common mistake, but I think you want the East Dubai Forum...
  2. A couple of times. The games themselves are very variable - some you can deduce, others are ridiculously random in the whodunnit. The most successful one was when I allotted the female characters to men and vice versa. Quite a laugh.
  3. Isn't that pretty much what the show is?
  4. Tamera's go at Roberta Flack's classic was pretty damn flawless, and that is one hard song.
  5. Lady Delilah - a new car.
  6. I would still take it in - some nasties install back doors and rootkits, leaving you open to further issues.
  7. Two birds are worth a hand in the bush, I think you mean.
  8. Neil Diamond write Sweet Caroline for Caroline Kennedy (JFK's daughter)... who was 11 years old at the time. Which suddenly makes a great song a bit creepy. Anyway, DJ Otzi's apres ski version is much better.
  9. You mean Mrs Onuoha from next door? Bit of a shot in the dark, wasn't it?

  11. Alan, Are you on Linked In? Because I think she is...

    Foxy on TV

I've been to two TV recordings. The first, years ago when Angus Deayton was still at the helm, was HIGNIFY, which was pretty much done in one take except for a requested 'slight wording change' by the show's lawyer retake. The second was a recording of the new series of "Yes, Prime Minister" last year. The warm up man (though he popped back for set changes) for that was John Sargent, who was absolutely hilarious. Arguably better than the actual show.
  14. Sue - I thought lawns liked good drainage and hated to be too soggy?
  15. Pretty slow news day down at the old Gruniad today. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2013/nov/28/norfolk-police-warn-alarm-clown-norfolk (Warning - may contain clowns.)

Don't you have to keep going forever until your name finally comes up to be in the hot seat?
  17. Worst Daily-Mail-accusation-shoehorning ever.

  19. Apologies to bigmacca1 if I'm wrong, but I think we're dealing with a person here who isn't used to running rather scary malware cleaners, zapping programs and processes and reinstalling stuff. I think getting someone to have a look at it may be the safest option for him/her. But at least we all seem to agree that there is something amiss.
  20. Bigmacca - is it just Yahoo mail? Seems like you can access the forum OK. Anyway, it sounds like you do have something on your PC which is interfering with access to some pages. It's probably either the hosts file or the service for internet access, but either way I would not use your PC until you've had it looked at. And DEFINITELY do not enter any more sensitive website passwords (especially banking) until you know the PC is clean.
  21. I spy a lot of chicken jokes coming this way...
  22. If that is not a Norton message do not click on any buttons on that notice - seek professional help. Especially any button that says 'Fix it' or similar. There are nasties going around, some will encrypt your hard disk and then try ransom you for the unencryption key. Sometimes these come up as 'antivirus messages', sometimes as 'your PC is overheating', 'your PC is running slowly', etc, etc. If you are unsure what is causing this then get some help, else you may never see anything on your hard disk again.
  23. Permitted development, I understand, is only applicable to houses. If is has been subdivided into flats, then they will need planning permission.
