Send Richardbach over - that'll confuse the hell out of them.
  2. Damn lefties. They always think it was better in the olden days.

OK, if it helps you answer the question... "Blogs are hot air - any actual proof of this emerging change, MissNoodleHats?"

Surely the students will only pay tuition fees if a) they pass and b) start earning over ?21K. I'd rather the scholarships paid immediate costs like books/housing/etc.
  5. Now chasing newer models of cars.

  7. That was pretty much the time I joined the EDF and the debate petered out before I could get me tup'pence ha'penny worths in.
  8. Just yours, Bren. Just yours... :o)
  9. Sorry to hear this, but for everyone else... ALWAYS CHUBB LOCK DOORS - EVEN WHEN YOU ARE ASLEEP Apart from the safety aspect, your insurance may not pay out of you don't. It's in the fine print of mine.
  10. I think Ed have been reasonably sure footed on the looting issue (shutting Mad Hattie up was a good move as well), but is still invisible and making little impact on the electorate at large.
  11. The bloke at 27.13 is a bit a of a beauty as well. Take everything they own? Riiiight. That won't cause any ongoing issues, will it... It's where the right/left thing breaks down a bit (and leads to my long-held belief that the political spectrum is circular and extreme far left and right converge at some point). These sorts of opinions are standard right of centre views, but are also generally espoused by your life-long working-class lefty labour voter type.

  14. I took the lack of cops opportunity to travel up the short bus lane to turn left into Sainsburys, Steve. I'm in living in fear of a knock on the door at any moment.
  15. He'll be spending time at Her Maj's pleasure, don't worry.

I don't think that is quite true, but I suspect thick lefties are usually holed up in a squat somewhere and emerge only at night and every fortnight to collect their benefits. Ringing into LBC radio isn't big on the agenda.

  18. The kids, PipD.

Seven posts in the forum and three in the support area. I'm surprised their server hasn't fallen over already with that kind of load. I suspect the downtime is to add more capacity.
  20. It's worth noting at this point that the 'fines' (actually 'invoices') that Sainsburys hand out are pretty much legally unenforceable (unless they can name and prove who the driver of the car was and therefore establish who the 'contract' was with). There are many websites out there with the right form letters to send if you get one. So IANAL, but that pretty much means you can park in the spaces if you want to. I would say that this also applies to the disabled spaces, but I think parking in those is reprehensible if you are not disabled. So don't.
  21. BTW, LD - you and I have a different view of what a 'short analysis' is...!
  22. I think the most interesting thing he said was, "I don't have the solutions". And that is the issue. I hear a lot about the death of capitalism, but very little about what anyone thinks can feasibly replace it. Most of the people saying replace it are, I think, secretly hoping for a socialist state, but dare not speak it's name because they know that no one actually wants it. Anyway, as Mark Twain would say, the reports of capitalism's death are greatly exaggerated. It will do what it has always done, learn and adapt from each 'crisis'. Maybe one day one of the crises will overwhelm it, but I don't think that day is here yet. And if it is, you won't get a socialist revolution, you'll get a world war.
  23. Whoa! The power of the EDF!
  24. LadyDeliah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes that was obvious, but it appears the extreme right wing have been drowning out the more > moderately right wing opinions of late. I don't think that is true as such. There has been a noticeable swing to a more right-wing stance across the community. That is a usual response to such events and will calm down over time.
