  2. That's a bit odd, as why would you have his details otherwise?
  3. Blue Mountain is closing permanently. I'm devastated. Its latest incarnation was brilliant. It was the first sign of gentrification in East Dulwich many moons ago, but a good one. 😭😭😭

Have a look at Lloyds Direct (used to be Echo). Your relative can get her meds delivered direct to her home. And they arrive on time, even though they come via Royal Mail! Delivery is free.

It is quite easy to email The Gardens. Their email address is clearly given on the "contact us" page of their website. [email protected] I used it to send written information to a GP prior to a telephone appointment.

  9. Thanks, I'm cabinet 34, but I have no idea where that is!

I keep thinking surely they will remove it soon, but they don't.
  11. How on earth do you all recognise these people?!

  13. They keep the Guinness well, too. And they've got a great jukebox, which last time we were in there we didn't have to pay for, grammar.
  14. Sorry duplicate post

Maybe they are in a pot? I have one in a pot which has kept going for a good few years now. You do have to make sure it is pot grown and not just dug up and shoved in a pot with its roots cut off to fit the pot, though! Mind you I do have an allotment to keep it on!

  17. Missed appointment fee??? 😮 How much?

She shouldn't be working in a job where she has to deal face to face with patients. The other admin sraff and medical staff must be aware, so if she is like it with everyone I find it hard to understand why she is still there.
  20. How do you find out which cabinet you are connected to?
  21. There is a shortage of GPs because so many are either retiring or going part-time, and newly qualified doctors are not keen to become GPs any more (and who can blame them?) So I've read. I've also read that existing GPs presently have 300 more patients each than they used to.

It definitely is not fine. I know Plusnet are owned by BT, but do they use the same external hardware or whatever it is in the junction boxes, etc? rupert james, that's appalling but doesn't surprise me. Try contacting BT's CEO, that usually brings results!
  24. Monkey Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The Gardens Surgery is fantastic. I?m hesitating > to move because I don? want to switch GP. I recently changed to The Gardens, and I'm very happy with my experiences so far (apart from one very non-welcoming non-medic, I presume one of the admin people, when I went for my "new patient session" with the nurse, but perhaps she was having an off day). The nurse and GPs have been excellent, though I have had to wait for appointments, but the issues weren't urgent. The GP appointments were all on the phone but I was very happy with the outcomes and referrals. So far much better than the two practices I was with previously in the area. ETA: Depending on what the issue is, you can sometimes circumvent your GP (if you can't get an appointment) by phoning 111. The triage process is a bit of a pain, but once you get to speak to a doctor, you can get an appointment with a GP (not your own) if they think it is necessary, or an A&E/minor injuries appointment ditto, on the same day (in my experience, things might have changed given the current situation with the NHS).
