  1. I had no reaction to my first two jabs, but two days after the booster I felt quite ill and headachey. May be unrelated but there was no obvious other reason. They were all Pfizer.
  2. Same at The Gardens. I'm glad they are taking precautions, unlike it seems most other places now 🙄
  3. Somebody in cardiac arrest. I don't think there was any criminal activity involved. Pulse returned after some considerable time and person taken to hospital.
  4. I've recently received a letter dated 17 September (thanks Royal Mail) which says "People over the age of 12 who were severely immuno-suppressed at or around the the time of their first or second dose should be offered a third dose of the vaccine to increase their chances of being protected against Covid-19 as part of their primary immunisation course ....... not everyone receiving this letter will be eligible for a third dose." and "Separately, the JCVI has published advice on the vaccine booster programme ...... it recommends that 'individuals who received vaccination in Phase 1 of the Covid-19 vaccination programme (priority groups 1 to 9) should be offered a third dose Covid-19 booster vaccine .

I'm immune suppressed, and one of the invites said I was in a priority group (I can't remember the exact wording) but I'm pretty sure they all said booster.
  6. Is that still the case? It's a long time since there was a Somerfields in Lordship Lane?

  8. Thanks James. I've just had a package today which says on it "delivery by 28 September". And my book posted to me on 3 September still hasn't arrived, but the same book (well obviously not the actual same book) I then ordered from somewhere else weeks later in desperation arrived two days ago (also sent by Royal Mail). So it appears they are not working through a backlog in order of arrival at the delivery office, but getting newer items delivered first.

One from Guys (where I had my first two jabs) and then one from my GP (who told me recently when I asked that the invite would not come from them but centrally from the NHS, hey ho). So - the central one which came first led to a page which listed the local centres, but there was nothing in East Dulwich, it was either Denmark Hill Vaccination Centre ie Kings or a pharmacy in Herne Hill. So I opted for the Denmark Hill one. The GP one leads to a link where I could book in either at Tessa Jowell or the Lister. I could cancel the first one, which I booked, and go for Tessa Jowell, but I'm just going to leave it at Kings. They all said booster, not third jab, but surely they are the same thing????? I'm just grateful to be getting it at all! I could have gone tomorrow (!!!!) but I sprained my back yesterday (pause for sympathy) so I'm going next week, hooray!

  11. Just booked my third jab at the Denmark Hill Vaccination Site, which is apparently in the Weston Education Centre. This is shown on the KCH site map, but it's not at all clear how to get to it, as if you google it, it says it is located in Denmark Hill, but its address is shown as 10 Cutcombe Road! and there is no Cutcombe Road marked on the site map! The centre seems to be nearer Coldharbour Lane than Denmark Hill! Can anybody shed any light? Do you just keep going past the other hospital buildings (Jubilee Wing etc) and then turn right? I'm assuming it will be well signposted, but not banking on it! ETA: I've just done what I should have done before posting this, and looked it up on Google Maps, and yes it seems that is how you get there, DUH.

  14. James, there's another thread here: /forum/read.php?5,2236584

Helen Hayes, our MP, has tried very very hard to do something about it, including initially trying not to get the East Dulwich delivery office in Sylvester Road closed, so it is not true to say that nobody is bothering about it, unless you mean Royal Mail itself?

    Cheers KK
  18. Someone told me recently about an open mic night in or quite near East Dulwich, and I can't remember where it was. I'm already aware of several but this was a new one. I also can't remember who told me 🤣 Can anyone help? (With venues, not with who told me! 🤣)
  19. If there are goods in the vehicle which need to be kept refrigerated, how else are they going to do it? I feel your pain. I have complained about this in the past (different vehicle) until the reason was explained to me.

Clapham isn't local to the people in East Dulwich using this forum, though, so I think Callie may well be correct.
  21. I'm having mine at The Gardens tomorrow. I may see your hubby there, Pugwash! Judging by the weird time of mine, it seems they must be doing them at two minute intervals. I asked for a later appointment and was told they were allocating them in the order people phoned for the appointment (so it's up at crack of dawn for me 😶)

I can't see the DKH Sainsbury's on that map, only the Forest Hill one??
