James is very proactive, far more so than other local councillors, as far as I can see Edited to make it clear which post I was agreeing with!

Usually the trolls are eventually removed, but often then come back under other names.

I'm talking about bags from things like frozen berries, but thanks! But I'm confused now. If Sainsbury's now takes other bags with the carrier bags, are we talking about the flimsy bags used to put fresh fruit and veg in, or (what I am talking about) plastic bags which for example frozen peas or blueberries come in?

  9. Sorry but I can't find the previous threads on this. 1. FOOD BAGS (not carrier bags) eg which have held frozen fruit or veg. Does the Co-op on Lordship Lane take these? If not, where is the nearest place I can take them? I have loads of them. 2. MEDICINE BLISTER PACKS. I believe the Superdrug near Camberwell Green takes these, as they have a pharmacy. Has anybody taken them there and can confirm this? 3. DAILY CONTACT LENS CASES. I was taking these to Paine and Hunger on Lordship Lane pre-Covid, but then they were closed unless you had an appointment. Is that still the case? 4. SMALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS. I googled, and found that Argos in Sainsbury's on DKH takes these, but it wasn't clear whether or not you had to buy a replacement at the same time. Can anybody confirm (they don't have a replacement I would want)? Thanks. Again, sorry for the repetition but I hope this might be of use to others (assuming somebody knows the answers, of course!)

Have you actually contacted Royal Mail to find out why your items are not arriving? If so, what did they say? And are you sure your sim card is being posted to the correct address?

Yes, that's it! The landlord was also a grumpy man with an unpleasant manner, and the ale was not well kept. But if you complained about the crap beer, you were told there was nothing wrong with it. I've just re-read that whole thread. It's so funny. And nostalgic. All those old forum names!

Yes, that place is pretty bad too The only decent Thai meal I've had locally was at The Begging Bowl, but it's more expensive. Those who think the Corner Cafe is good, have you been to Thailand? If it has significantly improved I may try it again, but I gave it several chances before giving up. It was OK when it first opened, but that was a long time ago.
  13. I take them to the hospice shop in a bag clearly marked "rags".

  15. I don't think they will accept a selfie. I will look at the website. I just thought someone on here might know, but thanks anyway. There's no problem applying the old fashioned paper way, it would just have been easier to do it online

They should have a "sow by" date on the packet, but some will still be viable long after this Did you water them after you sowed them? Also, they don't need a lot of compost on top, just a sprinkling Rosemary is usually grown from cuttings, not seeds, in fact I didn't even know you could get rosemary seeds!
  17. My sister told me that taking certain supplements can mask particular things a blood test would look for (in this case a vitamin B supplement). I don't know if that is true, but it's certainly a reasonable question to ask.
  18. Crikey. No more Kebab and Stab? End of an era. A whole other side of East Dulwich to be seen in their back room in the early hours of Friday night/Saturday morning, assuming you made it past the bouncer 🤣 That was some years back though ....
  19. Fingers crossed for you, Mops x
  20. What is its food like these days? It used to be truly terrible 😥
  21. Where does that diversion path come out at "this side" of the woods? Does that mean that there is access to all of the woods on that far side even though the bridge is closed, via the diversion path?
  22. This is terrible. I'm one of the probably many people who have been watching the goslings grow up. I was walking past them yesterday afternoon, and it must have been not long before this happened. The goslings are quite big now, and one of the parents was watching over them from a little way off. I'm so sad to hear this. I hope the parent recovers quickly and all the goslings survive without her/him in the meantime.
