  1. Silly question, but if you know who the parcel was addressed to (?Print Village?) why can't you take it there instead of the Prince Albert?
  2. How do you all know/recognise all these people?!

  4. All sorted now, phew!
  5. Thanks Foxy 🦊! Our website builder is having a look at it tomorrow. I suspect it is connected with a recent WordPress update. Am not going to attempt to meddle with it for fear of making things worse 😭
  6. Getting similar error messages to this on every page: Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/sites/t/thegooseisout.com/public_html/index.php:4) in /var/sites/t/thegooseisout.com/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1251
  7. Does anybody know anything about Wordpress? It all seems to have completely changed, and the whole of our website has gone down apart from the home page. Trying to contact the person who built the website, but in a panic !
  8. Be careful, because I have twice "rescued" a very thin and scruffy cat (different ones) and on both occasions it turned out that they had homes and were thin and scruffy because they were ill. In one case I was told by builders that the owner had moved and left their cat behind, but it turned out that somebody else in the street had then taken the cat in, which the builders apparently weren't aware of.
  9. You can get your medication online from Lloyds Direct (it used to be called Echo). I don't know if this only works for repeat prescriptions, but it's quick and easy once it's been set up. They remind you when you are running out, you order it online, they clear the prescription with your GP and send it out tracked. ETA: If you have several different medications running out at various times, which I do, you just select the ones you need (I always allow several weeks in advance just in case). The online customer service is quick and efficient, as well, should you have a query. Despite local postal delivery issues, I've always received mine very quickly. It's sent tracked (free delivery). I originally started it when I was shielding, but have continued because it's so much more convenient than queuing at the pharmacy.

I know what it's supposed to be, but you are supposed to be able to download it from Google Play, and it doesn't seem to exist on there?
  11. Hooray! The heron is back too, haven't seen it for ages!
  12. I just got a digital pass for domestic use, partly because we run gigs ourselves and I wanted to see what people would have to show (I had assumed it was just the bit of cardboard with the two vaccine dates on). The digital pass says it expires on 9 August 2021 at 12.59pm. That's Monday! I thought it was supposed to last 30 days then you log in again to renew it?! Can anybody shed any light?
  13. Some "jokes" just aren't appropriate these days. I don't have any appetite for getting into a long discussion about it. It will just go the same way as some other threads on here.

No of course I'm not the same Sue!!!! I have recommended Russell many times on here however, having been very happy with his service (and communication) in the past.
  15. Used or unused? If unused, you could give it away?

If you "couldn't be around for his visit" - when presumably he would have told you his findings in person then and there - possibly he thinks you are a complete waste of his time!!!

Can you give some examples of "problems he finds when there aren't any" and also his "high' quotes and what you are comparing them with? I don't recognise Russell Perring at all from this description, and as for his being untrustworthy, words fail me.
  19. Yes it's genuine.

The last ED Indian restaurant to do that closed down shortly afterwards. Shame, because the food was good. I can't remember the name, but it was on the stretch where the tapas place is now, I think.

Unfortunately they always seem genuine. That's why people give them money. I've done it myself, though in the street. They always have a very plausible story. It's annoying when you realise you've been scammed though.
  22. Very sorry indeed to hear this, I haven't shopped there since the start of the first lockdown as I was getting everything delivered, but I will make a real effort to now. The people are lovely, the shop is lovely and the food is good, so please support them!

  24. I'm very surprised (oh OK maybe I'm not) that at a time of rapidly increasing infections in Southwark the council should have done this. Presumably they didn't have to. Surely the reasons for doing it in the first place haven't changed at all (apart from some people now being vaccinated)? It's convenient for me to have the bus stop back, but I'd still rather they had kept it closed until the Covid situation had improved considerably.
