I got two items today, both sent first class, one on 23 March and the other on 25 March. They were both financially related. It's still pretty poor service, isn't it? I'm in Ulverscroft Road.

Now that has made me want a cup of lapsang, which I haven't tasted for decades. Long long ago there was a place on Lordship Lane (was it Le Chandelier?) which had a huge variety of teas to drink there. Can't remember if they sold the leaves to take away, though.

Surely they are non essential shops so 12 April?

How long to get a date for 2nd vaccine? *Update*
Sue replied to wee quinnie's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I had my second jab at St Thomas's today. I hadn't noticed from the texts that my vaccination centre was a different one to last time, but it was on the same site, so no big deal. No queue at all outside, and only a ten minute wait when inside (plus the fifteen minute wait after, which is apparently only if you are having the Pfizer jab). So very much quicker than my first time, and seemingly quicker than yours, ianr? The person who gave me the jab said it had been a very steep learning curve for everybody but that they were now much more organised, which indeed seemed to be the case! In fact the worst wait was on the number 12 on the way there stuck in the traffic jam round the back of the Peckham shops, grrrrr. -
Mine are painted all white including the handrail 🙂

I think to talk about a "very small minority" you would have to have a rather larger sample of people with no symptoms than you and your wife and your friends 🤣 I know people who have had very bad reactions and also people who have had no symptoms at all, but I wouldn't presume to draw any conclusions from such small numbers 🤣

How long to get a date for 2nd vaccine? *Update*
Sue replied to wee quinnie's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I've just had very good news, just had a text to say that the date for my second jab has been brought forward a week and will now be next Wednesday! Hooray! I'm particularly delighted as I have a hospital appointment two days after the original date, and wasn't sure whether to change it, but had decided to see how I was on the day and hope that any side effects had subsided :) Hopefully they will have well subsided nine days later! -

Yes, I'm very concerned about this as well, as I've also signed up for a postal vote. However Royal Mail do seem to give priority to some items (I have always received medication from Echo on time, although it is sent via Royal Mail) so let's hope that some way is found of prioritising the postal voting forms.

As I have posted on the other thread, Helen Hayes (MP) has already made a complaint to OfCom. I also posted a long letter from her on the other thread regarding what she has already done, and what she is doing, about this. It does seem a bit pointless to have two threads running on the same subject (Admin????)

Where to find good value furnishing fabrics for chair + chaise
Sue replied to Naiada's topic in The Lounge
If you look at the small (er) ads in the back of some "Home" magazines, there are often places advertising which have designer fabrics at a discounted price. Or there used to be ..... I've just looked through a pile of recent Elle Decoration mags, and I can't see any .... However, if you google "Discount fabrics uk" a whole load of stuff comes up, online sellers plus actual warehouses where you can go and look. Those warehouses have a quick turnover for the good stuff though, so you might have to go a few times before you found something to your taste. ETA: There are also a number of fabric places in Berwick Street, which although it is not the place it used to be still does have some bargains, depending on what you like. Whether they have survived the pandemic is another question though. -

Foal Farm is indeed a very good cause, so it would be great if you could give a donation in return for photographing their white rabbits :)
