We do use MailChimp but only changed to it relatively recently and migrated over a list of nearly 1500 names :(

Yes, it's a pain for people like us (The Goose Is Out!) with an existing mailing list of people all of whom have already chosen to be on it. We've got to ask them all to opt in again, even though they already have.

Elliott Morris is indeed brilliant, we've had him on at the Goose a couple of times. The music nights sound good, will check them out :)

Crikey! British Home Stores! C&A! Woolworths! I miss C&A, not sure about the other two, though Woollies used to have some great albums in their sales :) ETA: As in vinyl, not photo or stamp :)

:)) :)) :)) Also, "let us choose any colour". As if most places force you to have a colour you don't actually want :)) :)) :))

They could hardly get round everybody, let alone find them all in! I have heard both the "new" Labour councillors speak at the meeting where they were elected to stand as candidates, and I was very impressed with their knowledge, passion and commitment. -

Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > As long as idiots have a vote, things like this > will happen. Thanks James & good luck. Erm ..... I'm guessing not everybody in East Dulwich knows of James, particularly if they don't read this forum. And the boundary changes won't have helped. So they probably voted solely on party lines. That doesn't make them idiots. -
The RSPB has some sort of metal thing you can put over a feeder and at least the parakeets won't wreck the feeder with their beaks.

I too am very very sorry. You were always the one exception to my Labour vote, in recognition of all the hard work you put in, including on here, despite the undeserved flak you got from some quarters. Thank you, and good luck for the future. -

The one with the questionable business model was Give and Take, now closed. Though maybe Clothes for Causes did as well.

I think there is still "Woolly Mondays" at The Ivy House in Nunhead on Monday nights, but I don't know who runs it or whether you can just turn up. The pub would know, I'm sure! http://www.ivyhousenunhead.com/

You appear to have mixed up my post with somebody else's. Where on this thread (or anywhere else) have I said I pay for transport? I've put the relevant parts in bold, to help you out. And I don't recall ever telling you my age, but I doubt it is the same as yours. ETA: And yes, I have had a Freedom Pass for years and am well aware of how to use it, which I do frequently, thanks. -

If he put fares up so as not to have to reduce services, I imagine you would be blaming him for that, wouldn't you? -

You can vote for whichever three candidates you like, provided they are standing in your area, obviously! They could be from three different parties, if you wanted. ETA: Sorry, just seen Renata's post below. It's three in my ward, I thought it was the same everywhere, but evidently not!
