Great to see a dog story on here with a happy ending, and it sounds like with lovely owners on both sides.

I was told a few weeks back that St Christopher's would take electrical goods if the flex (?) was removed. Obviously that would not be appropriate for some items. I then took a brass vintage table lamp in which would have to be rewired when bought as I had cut the flex off. I sincerely hope they have not binned it as I think it was worth quite a bit.

I thought it was for sale by auction not that long ago? And when the sign came down, I presumed it had been sold?

How rude. As I said, I am busy. There are lots of things I would like to do if I had the time. Why should I stop posting on here? It is a break from other things, and keeps me in touch with what is going on locally. Since I have lived here a long time I am presumably allowed an interest. You must have a lot of time on your hands if you could be bothered to look up the number of posts I have made just to have a go at me.

In case you want to go to the jam tonight, the Bowls Club is by the riding school on the South Circular. It is on the same side of the road as the old Harvester (disused pub on the corner). ETA: And I had no intention of complaining to the Friends, I just wondered if they could shed any light and/or put pressure on the people in the council responsible for the park upkeep. In any case, I don't think it should be down to volunteers to maintain a public space.
