And I think you know that I (and others) know exactly who you are. And you are showing your true colours for everyone to see. As you are well aware, I have always been "out" on this forum. I have always posted under my real name and can be easily found in real life. Unlike those who over the years have posted under various pseudonyms and in some cases go so far as to create false characters/"identities" for themselves in the belief that they are fooling people. Now why don't you just stop this personal attack on me right here. This is a serious thread about a serious matter. -

I take my magazines down there now since I found this out. They have an actual collection place for them.

We went to St John's, it was lovely. Planning to go to St Paul's for the late Christmas Eve service. Thanks to everyone for posting.

6pm this evening at St John's if anybody else is interested. Thanks to LJC56.

Ok I'm looking at the Roku Express. Seems the alternatives will soon no longer get YouTube :( I am technologically challenged. My ancient TV has an HDMI input (good) but no USB port (bad?) Can I just plug it into the mains? The stick not the TV obv.

I hope you have reported this? Royal Mail used to have an Investigation Department to look at this kind of event and hopefully despite privatisation they still do have.

Otherwise somebody could input false readings online indefinitely and then do a runner or else be in massive debt to the energy provider. There has to be an occasional external check.

Dohchos Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I saw her today with her dogs, I wondered if the > authorities have caught up with her to have a chat > about her dog handling So did you report this sighting, with the incident number, as requested above? Maybe that might help "the authorities" to"catch up with her"? Whereas posting on here will do eff all. -
I do do it online. But so far (not having Smart technology) my laptop is not able to miraculously read my meters and transmit the information to my energy provider. I regularly send them readings online - but they have to occasionally check them. . Innit. And yes of course the dodgy ones are not going to ransack your home whilst you are standing there. They are seeing if it's worth them, or whoever they pass the info about your possessions/standard of living to, coming back. At this time of year, probably after Christmas. Or just before. When there is likely to be new stuff around.

I had a meter reader turn up this morning. He had a company name on his jacket, and knew my name and which power company I am with, so I let him in. I didn't ask for ID. However, I have a duel fuel contract, and he was only there to read the electricity meter, which I found a bit odd, so I may check with them just in case. He didn't appear to be looking about for stuff to come back and steal (just as well as there isn't any :)) )

I think the move to Peckham is now a done deal. ETA: There was a demonstration earlier this year outside the sorting office, one Saturday morning, before a final decision had been made. Our MP Helen Hayes turned up for it. Hardly anybody else did. There were about a dozen people there in total, and that's probably an overestimate. So I don't suppose that turnout conveyed to Royal Mail that there was very strong local feeling against the closure.

Stationary car hit today Dunstan?s Grove - witnesses?
Sue replied to binker's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Or try and find out who was delivering or removing stuff in the road at that time. The person having work done may know or could find out. Then see if there are marks on the relevant vehicle or if it has just been "repaired" ? -
Sorry duplicate post

Prison or a fine is too good for them, > they deserve something much worse. Someone who would do this is clearly not well and needs help. What is the "much worse" you think they deserve? I say that as an animal lover.

According to the news tonight the police have traced two of the drivers, who are being interviewed.

Might it be cheaper in the long run to get the car mended out with the insurance? I know you have to report it to them but not sure how it works other than that. -

Well, we ancient people can't all afford more expensive accommodation than that when travelling, remarkable as that may sound for somebody who lives in East Dulwich :))

I can't help, just wanted to say I feel for you. And my suspcious mind suspects that at least some of the workmen know exactly who it was. For which suspicion I have no evidence whatever. But most white vans in my road seem to have something to do with all the building work going on.
