However those of M&S say on the pack "From hens that are free to roam on grassy pasture amongst trees." End of debate :))

You think he "exaggerated" when he said he saw somebody encouraging two children to ride through a red light? And you think his outrage at that was "disproportionate"? ETA: What would your response have been if one or both of the children had been hit by a car?

It must be a total money pit! When it reopened after the refurb, they were giving away vouchers in the High Street. There were people there presumably from the Co-Op Head Office. We were told that there were "lots of new lines." We walked all round the store and couldn't see any. And now it seems to be even worse than it was before. I would happily shop at the Co-Op (and still do occasionally) if only they would up their game. I can't see how they are managing to stay open.

Dulwich Fox, now perhaps you could post some equivalent pictures of battery hens, so that we can compare the conditions in which they are kept? ETA: At least those free range hens are not confined to small cages. ETA: I would look for some pictures myself, but I can't bear to.

Pretty please :)

Are you suggesting jimlad48 is lying? And two posts about poor behaviour by cyclists which he experienced on two consecutive days hardly amount to an obsession. And you then say "Because their outrage isn't satisfied unless they have pages of agreement from people who accept everything at face value." Again suggesting jimlad48 is lying, and also suggesting that he has posted on here solely in order to get "pages of agreement" from people. What evidence do you have for any of this, exactly?

Co-op free range eggs were not cheap last time I looked. The current Iceland price is good, maybe they are cheaper now than I remember from when Iceland was in Lordship Lane. There is no way I would buy eggs from caged hens, however cheap they were.

I used to think Iceland's free range eggs were great value (if memory serves they were ?1 for six, about the same as Lidl). M&S free range eggs are ?1.36 for ten.

Sorry. ETA: Please don't be offended if it is all above board.

Google Howdens. Might be enlightening. Was a Guardian (I think) article about them a few years back about their rather variable pricing.

Be Vigilant (found: piece of wood with nails in it)

Surely it's just something dropped from one of the zillions of houses with builders in round here? -
So do I :) ETA: And you would not be far from LL anyway, walk or bus.

Thanks malumbu, I think I will investigate the Shaw Trust place first, it's a very worthy cause.

Thanks. It won't be a model, just a flat mock-up of the top of the lid. Sadly I don't have a big enough piece of cardboard to do it in one piece, so I'm going to have to tape several pieces together :(
