Jade Boulangerie - Barry Rd closing tomorrow

Amazed to read that, because we only go to Blue Brick when we have enormous amounts of time on our hands and nothing time-critical coming up, because the food is lovely but the service is so extraordinarily slow!! -
Very sorry for your loss, James.

Jade Boulangerie - Barry Rd closing tomorrow

So it has been sold to someone else who has replaced all the staff? Have I got that right? What has the off licence got to do with it, have they bought Jade? Are they keeping the Jade name even though there's another branch in Lordship Lane, presumably still owned by the previous owners? I don't understand. -

He has been posting on here recently. Maybe he is on holiday.

I agree. Something changed a few years back, I don't know whether there was a change of management or something, and they started serving up truly cheap and horrible taramasalata etc.. Their lamb shish was OK last time I had it - better than Kebab and Stab, anyway - but I'd think twice before ordering anything else there now. And last time I had a shish from K and S they seemed to have drastically reduced the amount of meat in it.

Don't necessarily go for the cheapest though. I always look at reviews of customer service, as well.

Tandoori Nights was good when it first opened, though expensive, then went well downhill. In my opinion.

Homeless disabled man I see in Forest Hill Road area.
Sue replied to baruchsol's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It doesn't sound like he has turned down offers. On the contrary, it sounds like he was promised things which didn't happen. -
Grove allotments opposite the old Harvester, next to Camber tennis club on the South Circular next to the entrance to the woods has a very short waiting list at the moment. https://groveallotmentsdulwich.wordpress.com/ You would probably not have to wait longer than two years max.

There is something in my garden which looks like a very small damsel fly and is jumping up and down near the ground. If disturbed it flies a short distance and then jumps up and down somewhere else. Anybody know what it is?

Not everyone who comes to your door is not genuine. But the people flogging cheap and nasty tea towels etc at inflated prices under false pretences probably aren't genuine.

Where is Forest in East Dulwich, then?

That is nothing like the Nunhead one, as it seems nobody can post on it, and you have to contact them if you want to promote your business etc.. It certainly doesn't seem to be a place for discussion, so far as I can see. I vaguely remember when it was set up.
