Royal Mail Sorting Office Closure Meeting..
Sue replied to DulwichFox's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There is a protest against this closure TOMORROW in Sylvester Road, but for some reason my post about it has been moved to the "What's On" section. Anyway, more information here: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?6,1824930 It's at 1.30pm and Helen Hayes will be there. -

Thanks, but the Stain Devil I used (there are several different kinds, and the one I used was specifically for tea plus some other things) has made the stain worse, so it can't have been a tea stain or it would have removed it, not turned it yellow! Therefore I don't want to put more of it on ..... Thanks everyone for your help, cannot do anything about it today but will have another look tomorrow .....

I've googled the ingredients, which are: Sodium Disilicate and Sodium Percarbonate Any chemists out there? (My A level chemistry was too long ago ..... :( )

Thanks both, but won't bleach/hydrogen peroxide rot the cotton?

I have a white duvet cover which had two lots of (what I thought were) tea stains on it. I've just used the Stain Devil for tea, and one lot of stains (which were definitely tea) have come off fine, but the other lot have turned bright yellow :( If the stains weren't tea I have no idea what they were, but they were on the top of the cover at the bottom end so must be something spilled (before somebody starts making rude suggestions). Both sets of stains looked exactly the same (very pale brown). Does anybody know what I can do now, apart from bleach which I'm not keen on? It was a new cover, as well :( It must be something which has reacted chemically with the Stain Devil, which (not very helpfully) just says "contains amongst other ingredients 15 - 30% Oxygen-based bleaching agent". I am contacting their customer services but hoping someone here might have some suggestions sooner!

I'd have thought a "professional musician" was somebody who made their living from playing music, but what would I know :))

I agree, that was the way I read it as well, that that was to be the name of the place - "Something Wonderful" or words to that effect.

I've just looked over our running orders and the only band I can think it might have been from your description was a local band from five years ago who to the best of my knowledge no longer exist :)

I hope you aren't talking about the music at the Dulwich Festival Fair on Goose Green? We take pride in booking good musicians.

I agree it's a great magazine for kids. Rendel, you could ask the girl's parent/s for suggestions? Otherwise you could duplicate something she has already been given?

Has Duck Egg closed? It's name is no longer above the front, and it hasn't seemed to be open during its usual opening hours lately. If so, does anybody know what is replacing it? There is a For Sale sign up, but I'm not sure if that is for the shop or whatever is above it.

Hydrangeas don't need acid soil. They just have different colour flowers depending on the soil type, so far as I know. ETA: http://www.bhg.com/gardening/trees-shrubs-vines/shrubs/how-to-get-blue-hydrangeas/
