  1. Maybe you could somehow attach a note to him? Might be more likely to be seen by whoever is feeding him than a post on here? Good luck anyway, hope one of them works!

Sorry admin, but may I just briefly go off topic to inform Louisa that I did not go to the opening night at MeatLiquor, let alone "tell everyone" about it 😀
  3. And it made a profit in the last financial year, and is going from strength to strength, hooray :)
  4. Fox, that is what I did. The shrink one page option is not there.
  5. Thanks I will have a look, but I didn't navigate via view. I think I clicked on view in case there was some additional option there when I couldn't find what I was looking for in the list! ETA: OK I have done that. There is nothing on that list between "Shrink font" and "Size" :( No "Shrink one page" that I can see ....
  6. I am trying to put the Shrink One Page icon on my Word toolbar, but despite going through the process shown in Office support, the option isn't shown in the "All Commands" list (it jumps from "show/'hide editing marks" to "side to side" - see attached screenshot) I'm sure there's some simple thing I've missed, eg a drop-down menu, but can anybody help as I've already spent too much time on it this morning :( In the past I've done it through "Tell me what you want to do" , but that's just ridiculously slow when I could just click on an icon. Thanks.
  7. Concorde! Pomagne! I never thought I'd hear those names again :))
  8. I find the coach very convenient for the part of Oxford I go to (it makes several stops before the city centre). It's very frequent, and extremely good value, particularly if you are returning the following day And Victoria is easy to get to from ED. ETA: However it is quicker to drive, though less relaxing.

  11. Obviously nobody is going to waste their time going to see something which may turn out to be not what they want. Adding a picture in the first place saves everybody's time, doesn't it?

According to a post above, the thieves at The Actress were wearing helmets.
  13. As KK surmises, I did not make a special trip to Walthamstow to eat at Manzes. Fox, you appear to be contradicting yourself by now suddenly finding that other people eat pie and mash. And of course I did not think you were referring to me, nor have I taken anything personally, how ridiculous. I was, I thought, pointing out flaws in your and Louisa's weird views by using myself as an example. Who else would I use? But logic does not seem to come easily to either Louisa or yourself, so I don't know why I bother :) Enjoy your "curry" :)
  14. Nigello Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The train from Marylebone is great: it takes about > 50 minutes or so and runs regularly. Bakerloo line > will get you there. Paddington isn't it? Some of the trains to Oxford are remarkably noisy, and the station at Oxford isn't very conveniently situated unless you are being met or getting a taxi .....
  15. Easy to get to Oxford Street for John Lewis, M&S, Selfridges, Debenhams, House of Fraser etc and Tottenham Court Road for Heals, Habitat etc. No parking (at least not easily) but you can get stuff delivered. Will make you lose the will to live, but so will shopping in Croydon, Bromley or the Purley Way :) Although IKEA and Wyevale garden centre are on the Purley Way :))
  16. Just call the child something you like and which suits him/her. My daughter has a name which was virtually never around when she was born (seventies) but then later became really popular. So even if you are trying to avoid popular names, you may find you can't. But I also wonder why you are asking on here when a quick Google would tell you .....

I wouldn't willingly eat it again (bleurgh). I had oysters in Whitstable. I wouldn't willingly eat them again (bleurgh) I had caviare in Moscow. I wouldn't willingly eat it again (bleurgh). I wouldn't eat any of it again if it was five pounds or fifty pounds. Though if I had liked any of it I would happily go back and be "seen dead" eating it. So how does this fit in with your world view as posted above, Fox? I am neither poverty stricken nor a Millwall fan, in case that helps. :))

  19. Just to note, the stop it starts from at the Victoria end is a bit counter intuitive as it is on the "wrong" side of the road. The second stop is nearer Victoria station but you get less choice of seats :))
  20. End of term school trip?
  21. Agree with you both, Penguin68 and nxjen. Good posts.
  22. Thanks, that's useful to know ETA: Oh. Except that I thought it was for recycling mobiles, as in phones. Duh.
  23. It's getting worse. ETA: They seem to live in a bubble of their own prejudices unable to see outside it. Which would be fine if they didn't constantly post their strange world view on threads discussing local issues. It isn't even funny any more. If they hate East Dulwich so much, and those who live here, why don't they go and live somewhere else?
