Can't remember whether the census figures are analysed down that far, from memory I think it's just for the borough ie Southwark, but it would be interesting to see if that perception is true. I believe Tower Hamlets is the most diverse borough in London, or at least was. Or maybe Newham. Can't remember. -
Sorry to hear this. When is the sale?

No right turn into Crystal Palace Road, why?
Sue replied to ponypony's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Because it would cause delays at the lights, as it's a crossroads? It would be another phase of the lights, wouldn't it? You can't turn right into East Dulwich Road coming from Crystal Palace Road, either. You have to turn left and go round the Goose Green roundabout and back up again. -
There's an interesting article by Jamie Hooper in the February/March edition of London Drinker, which also seems to have stirred up a bit of controversy ... Pages 50 and 51, or you can read it online here: http://www.camralondon.org.uk/viewnode.php?id=17734 Admin please move if I've posted this in the wrong section.

I'm very lucky indeed. xxxxxx There are many people for whom things are not stacked in their favour, but most of them don't feel entitled as a result to earn what is probably a pretty good living by scamming others. -

We decided probably she was using a breast pump to keep the milk going and that possibly the original baby might now be a teenager (the alternative to the breast pump if said baby was a teenager being too horrible to contemplate ......) -

eberg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Aren't we all lucky that we don't have to resort > to such desperate tactics to survive eh? xxxxxxx You think it's OK to survive by lying? Many people manage to survive without regularly asking complete strangers for ?25. This country may be going to hell in a handcart, but there is still some remnant of the welfare state hanging on by a thread. Sorry for mixed metaphors or whatever they are. -
Make sure you get one with more storage than you think you'll need. I have an old Topfield (got it free from my daughter when she moved somewhere she had to have a satellite) and it's brilliant and easy to use, and will record whilst watching something else (or record two things at once) but I keep having to delete things I haven't watched because I've got too much on it that I never get round to watching :))

The council can't use that money to fund a school. And many people including me think it was absolutely fine to spend a relatively small amount of money on something which will really cheer up the area. -

They avoid it like the plague :) You do have to replace it all once it's gone like that. It's a pain, particularly in wet weather because it all goes mouldy and horrible so quickly.

pinecone Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > it's not misinformation. it's speculation. read > closer next time before posting. xxxxxx Speculation or misinformation, it's dissing somebody about whom you know absolutely nothing. Somebody who has just been hurt. "More likely that ....." . Yeh, right. You're basing that on - what, exactly? "Read closer before posting"? Maybe you should engage your brain before posting. If you have one.

Seems to have given up jumping off the top of stepladders though. And the headbanging no longer seems to be drawing blood ..... I saw him in the early eighties at some small venue somewhere in London, can't remember where but it was with Wild Willy Barrett. Still got the "Really Free" single somewhere, but I always liked the B side better (anyone else remember B sides?)

I've been in the shop once. I found something I vaguely liked (sort of sheepskin lined waistcoat thing) and looked at the price. It was ?300 reduced from ?600 !!!!! :)) Not sure it's worth my looking in there again, will stick to the hospice shop which has provided much of my wardrobe since it opened :)) I hope they do well, but I sort of feel that's taking the piss :(

And the smallest size blue bin appears to hold the same as two blue boxes. Personally I would rather have boxes instead of the small green bin I have, which is hardly used as virtually everything I bin is recycled stuff :( -
Man knocking on door at 1am asking for money
Sue replied to JLJ's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Spoke to somebody last night who was approached (not for the first time) by a woman saying she wanted money "to buy milk for her baby." She then said "I'm not a stripper", pulled down her top and displayed her breast, which she then squeezed so that milk spurted out. When he said "Well, you can't need to buy milk then, can you?" she went off. How bizarre is that? Anybody else come across her? :)) -

Sue replied to lauras231279's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I put surplus in bags with a note attached saying "recycling" and it's always been taken. I just replaced my two blue boxes with a small blue wheelie bin thinking it would hold more - but it doesn't. I emptied the contents of the two full boxes into the bin, and now the bin is already full :(
